Governor Sanford, while a Representative from South Carolina in Washington, spoke on the floor of the House that gays and lesbians should be denied marriage in order to defend the sanctity of heterosexual marriage. He spoke alongside people like Newt Gingrich and other GOP leaders who are beyond their first marriages and divorces. Now, Sanford refuses to leave office despite disgracing South Carolina. It would seem that karma has steamrolled the Governor. Maybe he should jet off to Argentina to let things cool down.

What a man does in his personal life is his business. What a man says is also his business. When these two are in conflict it may create a problem. I respect the South Carolina GOP for taking a stand to preserve their values. I think Governor Sanford will eventually leave office over this.
