It sounds like a worthy endeavour but I'm not sure that its where I'd invest an odd $3000 that happened to discover in my trouser pocket when I was taking them to the dry cleaners..
I am a great believer in the virtue - and taste - of organic but my money would go in preference to the promotion of community gardens.
Which is not to say that this project may well have great virtues - but its rather hard to ascertain any detail from the scanty data provided.
Is there more information out there in the public domain?

Thank you, I understand what you are saying. I agree I love the community gardens Gama This is Benefiting Wholesome Wave Foundation
Wholesome Wave Foundation, created in 2007 by award-winning chef Michel Nischan and chairman Gus Schumacher with seed funding from the Betsy and Jesse Fink Foundation, Paul Newman and Newman's Own Foundation, is working to make locally grown, healthy sustainable foods available to all communities through three key "Nourishing Neighborhoods" programs. That Amount was only for the VIP Green Passes.
