Those would be the diehards from both sides of the mutual parties. On the left it would be the unions, trial lawyers and taxpayer funded folks. On the right would be, well I'm not really sure. I'm as right wing as you can get and still function but I'm not sure any of us would day anyone was worth keeping. Hold on, in that 25% I'm sure there are a lot of moms supporting them.....

You crack me up. Fox is the all powerful evil. Perhaps you should study one of your own. NBC is owned by GE. NBC is trying to be the huge ecco nut job network and latches onto every story supporting global warming. At first, I thought it was odd, why would GE back the Cap & Trade or other taxing program that would hurt them. Then I opened the trade papers and found out the answer. GE is one of the main driving forces behind the myths of global warming. They own the old Zenith Wind group, now GE Wind. They're one of main suppliers of the compact fluorescent bulbs. They're also heavily invested in rail, road building groups and other mass transit groups. Ethanol production is another of their favorites. This is why GE is all for the claims of Global Warming and why NBC is so in favor of every green idea. It's pretty clear the Obama network supports "green" plans strictly because of the money available. And you guys claim the military war complex is huge. Outside of the government health proposals, the Green plans dwarf everything else.

I think Obama needs to make a major push to dethrone Pelosi. Nothing personal against the woman and it certainly is not a gender issue. She has simply failed to coalesce her ranks in the House. And if the House isn't cohesive the Senate never will be. She is the Far Left and America is either center left or center Right in the majority. And the district she represents is simply not representative of mainstream America. This is a move I believe Obama must make soon. He cannot remove her directly but certainly could exert pressure to begin the process.

The horrific lies and insinuations of the Right have done their damage and if the status quo remains I do not see a good result in '10. And Obama with a gridlocked Congress will get little done and may not even get a second term. Whatever needs to be done to prevent the return of the Republicans must be done. The consequences of inaction are far to grave for America.-

i liked where you wer going in teh first paragraph. i think Pelosi is a terrible liability fo rthe democrats. Reid too. the only democrat that i'm liking a lot is Grayson, thanks to him chewing Bernanke a new *********. oterh than that, i see a real democratic leadership vacuum.
Reply
and then you get all kooky in your second paragraph. i'm sorry to be the one to have to tell you, but other people are allowed to have other opinions.
the way its playing out now is just like for Jimmy Carter. an activist congress butting up against a green president with a differing agenda. i'm not saying Obama is as bad as JC, i'm just saying he's in teh same morass that JC was in. -

Federal Term limits takes care of that. Also, put in clauses for nepotism. A father, brother, mother, daughter or whatever cannot pass the seat from one generation to another. This isn't an Earldom or some other royalty motivated power transfer.

I'm not sure I like term limits.

It's like, once a person gets the hang of making things work - he's required to leave office.
The real problem is the massive amounts of money flowing into Government from Lobbyists - which has grown exponentially over the past 3 decades.
Term Limits is often used for political purposes.
For instance - Idaho was commonly a Democratic stronghold. The state was first populated by self sustaining people who had no use for the Republican party which - to early Idahoans, had pretty much always been seen as a friend of the Corporation over individual freedom.
But as wealthy landowners bought out the original inhabitants - the political base shifted - but the legislators were still Democrats.
So the well connected got a Term LImits Referendum passed. Over time, Democrats were voted out of office to be replaced by Republicans.
Guess what ... the Republican Legislature OVERTURNED the Term Limits Law ... protecting their jobs ... for life.
Of course ... I realize this is one more example of the Moral Vacancy of the Modern Republican ... they seek power not to help Individual Freedom ... or Individual Americans ... they seek power ... for the sake of ... seeking power.

It is written in the Constitution that we can abolish our government if we are unhappy or unsatisfied w/them. Except for a few Republicans the majority of them need to be ousted and soon before they turn us into a 3rd world country.

Obama is destroying himself with his socialistic ideas and actions, but he'll make a fortune in speeches when we get him out of there.-

You ask who should the Congress be replaced with - How about people who will vote as the constituents of their districts ask them to and support AMERICAN values and our constitution.
Following are just two examples of why AMERICANS feel this way :
Eric Massa(D-NY) - He advised that he would vote based on what HE felt was best for his district - even if his CONSTITUENTS DID NOT agree with him. !!! He seems to have forgotten that he is a PUBLIC SERVANT. A couple facts of interest about this guy - he represents a REPUBLICAN district - he only won the 2008 race by 4,000 votes (51% to 49%). What put him over was riding the wings of Obama mania at the time.
- Diane Watson(D-CA) - She loves Fidel Castro - following is one of the statements she made when speaking at a church :
"One of the brightest leaders I have ever met" - she was speaking of Fidel Castro. I guess she hasn't met very many leaders!!!!!!!!!!
There are many, many more examples. -

My Fellow Americans: I don't really want to be disagreeable about this entire issue but I do perhaps have a better idea regarding the terms of all these Professional Politicians.

Voting them out is only going to send them into the real world with a pension, excellent health care, and the ability to write and sell their behind the scenes tell all biographies.
The answer my friends is to send them all to prison for treason. They have not been sensitive to the needs of the people and have constantly defied the Constitution. They are simply high class criminals. White Collar If You Will.
How about replacing them with Clowns. At least they will be funny and we will know that they are all, just a big joke.
They may actually pass everything we want which is good for our country, Just For Laughs. The Real American-

My Fellow Americans: Dumya Donald51 the Yellow Belly Canadian Illegal Alien that deserted his Country in the time of need. Spreading his Lies and Ranting about everything he knows nothing about. He and his Commy Buddies are conspiring with the top Socialist of them all to destroy American. He never has anything positive to say about our history and can't even stick to a subject. Don't worry, soon his kind will be slowly taken out, because Obama can't afford to keep him on the payroll much longer. He is failing at his job and instead of helping Obama look better he is making Obama look just like the traitor he is and WE AMERICANS are catching on to their lunacy. The Real American

Replace it with what?
If you fall for that we the people stuff, the people who would like to replace congress are the same ones that voted the current batch in. And the past batch, and those before them.
So we get the current batch of scoundrels out. So what? Haven't we demonstrated abundantly well that having done so, we will just vote a new bunch of scoundrels in?
Doesn't seem like a good use of time and energy,to me.
Now if y'all have a way to get the current batch of bastards out and NOT replace them, I'm all ears. -
