How in the world is it an infringement on anyone's or any state's rights to say, "We will give you money to do it our way, but we sill not give you money if you don't."? Do it or don't. it 's up to you.

What would your temptation is a billionaire came to you and said I will give you a million dollars if you do things that you ethically disagree with. The pressure from everyone would be to take the money and do those things and so what. Just look at the posters ranting about them not taking this money.

      Do you stop to think?

For heaven's sake, I have a roof and food. It would be cool in some ways to be rich, but it is extremely unlikely I ever will be, especially if there is any requirement that I violate my own ethics to get that way. Pressure form others bothers me not at all. My home state refused education money over the ridiculous and dangerous requirement to endorse and teach abstinence only sex ed. I'm good with that.

Then you understand why the states did what they did.

Nope. They should have already had the required programs in place. Then they'd just view the money as extra cash, the tightwads.

You're saying that helping out people who can't get a job in a bad economy is unethical?

Why do you ignore the strings attached to the bill forcing changes in state law on the state. Why is that done? To force the one size fits all approach that liberals love.

It is done as an ENTICEMENT to get those states to DO THE RIGHT THING, if they haven't already! SHEESH!

I ignore the strings attached because the much more important goal is to help people who are in need--particularly the ones that may have elected you, if you're the governor of one of those states refusing federal funds.

What you're advocating is similar to a starving atheist refusing to go to a soup kitchen run by Catholic Charities...it's simply not rational.
