"We had to struggle with the old enemies of peace: business and financial monopoly, speculation, reckless banking, class antagonism, sectionalism, war profiteering," President Franklin Roosevelt told an audience in Madison Square Garden in 1936. "They had begun to consider the Government of the United States as a mere appendage to their own affairs. We know now that Government by organized money is just as dangerous as Government by organized mob. Never before in all our history have these forces been so united against one candidate as they stand today. They are unanimous in their hate for me and I welcome their hatred."

President Obama must find within himself the same will to stand for social justice that FDR had the will to stand for. The time has come to deliver on his mantra of hope, and we need the real deal, with unceasing concern for the welfare and dignity of every American.

The time is now. Obama has the support of the people (despite what the righties love to claim and never seem to be able to show) behind him. The right wing is doing thier utmost to portray themselves as a series of wacks and looms and its working, people are wising up and the Dems need to do the same.

One of the "options" that the insurance companies are pushing is the ability of businesses to "shop" better priced insurance plans.
To do this they will purchase plans that cross state lines, and you can bet that they will be UNREGULATED.

Like some of the "insurance" that was wrapped into derivatives that helped sink Wallstreet. No regulation, no protection, no healthcare.
Brought to you by the same crowd that INSISTED that banking regulations were "Crimping" their style.

Obama is being too timid. He needs to be proactive and dump on the nay sayers. Much of the disapproval expressed is because he is not doing enough instead of going too far.
