Consider this my brave attempt to "reach across the aisle" or damn it as Sunday morning irreverence, if you will, but please, on no account miss this informational and educational video that could prove to be a life-changer.. Real-life testimony would be especially appreciated - but please watch out for the TOS in the event of specific anatomical descriptions..

I have to enquire whether anyone has actually encountered one of these items..

No prurient interest on my part, naturally, but a true-life tale of adventure would obviously "jazz-up" the story.
As for these "upscale" restaurants where they allegedly reside it seems that the menu should be the attraction, rather than the water-sports..
Unless they deliberately prepare their food for the speediest possible evacuation in order that the dessert trolley should receive greater attention?
Do Zagat and Michelin award extra kudos or contain comments like "the hors d'oeuvres, though engulfed by a sea of balsamico can only be described, politely, as dismal; the main course gave the impression of having probably been recycled several times; HOWEVER the sanitary facilities whither these "comestibles" were swiftly dispensed with justify an overall 1* criteria.-

There are such facilities in some public places, such as at train stations in Germany, which offer a similar, if more simplified, service. I have used these on occasion and found them effective, although not my personal choice. Perhaps the thought of robots controlling my waste disposal is a bit unnerving. They might just be perverted. Who knows?

What happens if the programming is faulty and it thinks its a vacuum-cleaner, for examole?
Does it beat- as it sweeps - as it cleans?
Are there any other "special services" that the machine undertakes?
Does endoscopy have an opinion on this? -

This, of course took place long before the days of the Shower Toilet!

The following concerns Henry Miller's adventures in Paris - as best I can remember the original description was in "Tropic of Cancer" but I may be mistaken. Its nearly 50 years since I read everything of Miller's that I could get my hands on..
***********
Miller obliges and takes the young man to “Miss Hamilton’s joint.” There the Indian grows consternated at the sight of all the women surrounding him. He insists that Miller pick a girl as well. Miller consents, and soon he and the Indian find themselves with two prostitutes in the back room. The Indian wants to make a switch, so they make a switch. This is something of a faux pas.
Upstairs, after a bout, the Indian asks Miller where he should go to use the toilet. Miller, not thinking it’s something serious and perhaps wanting to have a little fun, advises the Indian to do what he needs to do in the bidet. Then a commotion erupts through the hallway. The madame of the establishment comes out screaming. The Indian has defecated in the bidet, thinking it was a toilet and would flush. -

Way to go! I encountered something similar to this quite a while ago when after spending a number of days backpacking the Andes and roughing it decided to spring for an expensive tourist hotel in Peru. At first I had no idea what it was for...an electric toilet in a country where plumbing fixtures were optional in many places? Ahh but there was to be nothing the rich should be without in terms of convenience... right? I've not seen one since but it's really just an extra gadgeted bidet. (Most places I stayed in the Andes took live wires and wrapped them around the pipe of a shower to get "hot water"...so to come across something like this was something of a enigma.) As always...an interesting post Gama!

So long since I've "seen" you you could have been round the world and back!
I was definitely in a high-serious mood today when I posted this.
My partner found this video somehow and I thought the "presenter did a great job - apart from skipping the practical demo!
I'm just hoping that she wasn't "shopping around"!
Well we have 2 bathrooms so I guess she can have it in hers..
