Laura Bush was a school teacher and knows the value of a good education. Instilling the drive and confidence to attain an education is the job of parents, teachers and need I say government leaders. It looks like the republicants have strayed so far from their values that they'll attack any democrat and especially the president on issues they once called their own - self responsiblity and initiative to achieve. They have lost their values and are floundering in a sea of self loathing that projects outward to Obama. Good for Laura Bush, at least she rises above partisanship and has the good of her country in her heart.

I am quite satisfied that Laura Bush has found such fiendly (and true) words for President Obama. This could set an example for other politicians to become more independent from partisanship. What counts are results, who has achieved them, is only of secondary importance.

Laura Bush is, and always was, a very gracious lady. And, it's quite true....in his efforts to destroy this country and replace it with a socialist hell, Obama is doing a "good job".

Jeboba,Unless your one of the beggars that suck the life out of working people, you'll wish Bush was back in the white house.Obama hasn't even scratch the surface of his plan to take America into a socialist hell.We are just on the brink of a total melt down.China is going drop us like a hot potato,as they should. They know the illegal printed money they get back won't be worth twenty cents on the dollar.Anybody who can't see this has their head so far down in the sand, only their a$$ is showing, but the left does that every day.
Just wait until cap,and steal gets passed, again if your not on the dole your going be hurting.

If anyone had a brain it would be the people, such as the Bush family that didn't vote for the socialist disgrace to our country. Laura Bush just wouldn't insult Obama because that would be distasteful for someone in her position. She answered it with class. Of course, the GOP lost so badly because of all the idiots that voted for Obama to begin with because they're a bunch of sheep that can't think for themselves. Be sure to thank yourselves when our country becomes a socialist economy and your parents die because they are refused by the government any treatment because they are too old. Too old being over 60 years old.

In this morning's Editorial section of Louisville
          Courier-Journal, it reads in part:

The President did pick up pre-speech support
from former First Ladyi Laura Bush, who said his words of encouragement had a place in schools.
BUT then, she was in France at a United Nationes meeting about global lit eracy when she gave that
          interview--a scenario that practically screams
"socialist agenda," no? More power to her!!!

I guess they will be asked to leave the Party. There is no place for graciousness in the new GOP.

People who hold conservative values don't have to criticize the leftist liberals(idiots). But I have never seen a liberal not criticize a conservative. I honestly believe that Obama is one smart dude but I also believe he is an idiot! He seems to lack common sense value that the conservatives have carried for years. Obama is just a one term president and he'll be in here just enough to screw things around just like Carter did. Carter gave birth to Reagan and Obama is going to give birth to the next Reagan. More power to the people and more power to the state and local government. AND SCREW THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENTS! Of course, obama would have never understood the fact that it was the states that created the federal government not the other way around. Either that he just doesn't like that or agree with that so he is doing his best to change it. CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN. Hmmmmm. I wonder where that one came in from? Hurry up 2010! The house and the senate need to be republican controlled so that we can teach this idiot ass-hole obama a lesson

              lol

You mean the kind of common sense that took a trillion dollar surplus and destroyed it?
The kind of common sense that raised the price of oil from $28/bbl to $150?
The kind of common sense that succeeded in removing all oversight to Wallstreet; the kind of common sense that oversaw the shift of American industry oversees (and subsidized it)? The kind of common sense that claims that Obama is like Hitler because Hitler didn't like big business and was against the cigarette industry?

Even though Hitler had the full support of the Krupt and IG Farbin giants, and EVERY German high commander always had a cigarette in his hands and lips?

Time to remind you who think that the "conservatives" know what they are doing.

The "expertise" on the economy derived from 24/7 FOX and co. will tell you that the the recovery from the great depression of the 30s was due to the onset of WWII in the late 30s and not due to the efforts of FDR (who is STILL HATED)by the GOP today. However looking at facts rather than innuendo:

                1932

                * This and the next year are the worst years of the Great Depression. For 1932, GNP falls a record 13.4 percent; unemployment rises to 23.6 percent.

                * Industrial stocks have lost 80 percent of their value since 1930.

                * 10,000 banks have failed since 1929, or 40 percent of the 1929 total.

                * About $2 billion in deposits have been lost since 1929.

                * Money supply has contracted 31 percent since 1929.

                * GNP has also fallen 31 percent since 1929.

                * Over 13 million Americans have lost their jobs since 1929.

                * Capital growth investments have dropped from $16.2 billion to 1/3 of one billion since 1929

                  The turnaround starts in earnest:
                  1934

                  * Congress authorizes creation of the Federal Communications Commission, the National Mediation Board and the Securities and Exchange Commission. (More)

                  * Congress passes the Securities and Exchange Act and the Trade Agreement Act. (More)

                  * The economy turns around: GNP rises 7.7 percent, and unemployment falls to 21.7 percent. A long road to recovery begins.

                  * Sweden becomes the first nation to recover fully from the Great Depression. It has followed a policy of Keynesian deficit spending

Continuing improvement in the face of GOP foot-dragging:
                    1935

                    * The Supreme Court declares the National Recovery Administration to be unconstitutional.

                    * Congress authorizes creation of the Works Progress Administration, the National Labor Relations Board and the Rural Electrification Administration. (More)

                    * Congress passes the Banking Act of 1935, the Emergency Relief Appropriation Act, the National Labor Relations Act, and the Social Security Act. (More)

                    * Economic recovery continues: the GNP grows another 8.1 percent, and unemployment falls to 20.1 percent.

                      A good job?.......for whom?

Red Flag To Fly Over White House

                      Chuck Baldwin
                      September 9, 2009

Lest anyone doubt the communist leanings of President Barack Obama, look no further than to his decision to hoist the Red Chinese flag (for the first time in history) over the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, D.C., on Sunday, September 20.

According to China Daily, “Chinese associations in the United States had applied to hold a ceremony in front of the US President’s residence to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of PRC [People's Republic of China] . . .

Trying to find words to describe the extreme offensiveness of flying the Communist Chinese flag over the White House challenges my vocabulary. Words such as UNBELIEVABLE, UNREAL, HORRIFIC, OBSCENE, even TRAITOROUS quickly come to mind.

Maybe Obama really is the Manchurian Candidate.

Why is the mainstream press not all over this story?

Where is the outrage by veterans’ organizations (especially Korean War veterans)?

                      Where is the national VFW?

                      Where is the American Legion?

                      Where is John Murtha?

                      Where is John Kerry?

                      Where is John McCain?

Perhaps one blogger summed it up the best. He said, “It can now be official–leave the [Chinese] flag there.” His point is well taken.

China already owns more U.S. debt than any other entity. America’s politicians from both parties have superintended over the outsourcing of manufacturing jobs and factories to (mostly) China.

America’s business elite at the Chamber of Commerce has willingly traded U.S.

While we’re at it, let’s hoist the Red flag over the newsrooms of many of America’s newspapers; the headquarters of ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN; most of the political science classrooms at America’s major colleges and universities; many of our mainline “Christian” denominations; the boardrooms of many major U.S. corporations; and also over many of the smoke-filled parlors of Big Labor.

In the end, they all seem to be colored a pale shade of red these days..........

                      Full Story.......
