Amazing how military personel, after a lifetime on the public dole with free medical care, free meals, free insurance, wages paid by tax payers, now decide to attack public option....cause they don't anybody else to have what they do, free medical care on the backs of people forced to buy insurance from insurance monopolies denying claims to pay their CEO's billions a year.

BS. Obama's health care proposal is not mandatory. It provides options and doesn't force anyone to only one type of health care.

I see nothing wrong with mandatory health care.
Switzerland that, according to the World Economic
      Forum's global competitiveness report 2009/2010,
has just overtaken the US as the most competitive
economy has compulsory universal health care.
So it looks like that it is quite possible to be
competitive and yet take care of the health needs
of all your residents (note: not only citizens).
According to the Wikipedia entry on Healthcare in
Switzerland "Healthcare in Switzerland is regulated
by the Federal Health Insurance Act of 1994. Health
insurance is compulsory for all persons resident in
Switzerland (within three months of taking up
residence or being born in the country)."
