You mean Jose Compean and Ignacio Ramos? The two Border Patrol agents that sent a drug-smuggling scumbag hobbling back to Mexico with a bullet in his ass? Yes, I remember. They were sentenced in Federal court to 12 and 11 years, respectively. Technically, they weren't imprisoned for shooting the guy, but for trying to cover it up. Probably due to the embarrassment of letting him get away. They were also pardoned by former president Bush on his last day in office. Maybe the Texas Rangers can shoot a little better.
