Christopher Kelly, former chief fundraiser for ex-Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, has died, according to a statement Saturday from the former governor.

Here's more. Apparently he died from an "aspirin overdose" and was dropped off at a hospital, by his girlfriend (he was married), at a hospital that did not have the capability to treat him. Curiouser and curiouser. -

I didn't know you could die from an aspirin overdose. This is really incredible. Btw, he and Blago were really close friends and Kelly has been quoted as saying he would take "any knowledge he had of Blago's alleged misdeeds to the grave". I don't think this benefits Blago.

In another article from another source, it said he was found around 11 pm in a lumber yard parking lot, didn't say by whom. He was taken to one hospital which didn't have the resources to treat him (I'm thinking he may have needed dialysis), but wasn't transferred until around 600am and died at the second hospital about 4 hours later. Aspirin overdose is possible, can really screw up bleeding, but it's a weird choice to try and kill yourself with......maybe he didn't have anything else to take. Most men commit suicide with a self-inflicted gunshot, women choose drug overdose.

As far as benefitting blago or not, he knew all the dope on him that's for sure. But, if someone did take Kelly out, it might've been to cast more doubt on Blago. Or just to keep Kelly quiet on everything he knows.
The autopsy results should be interesting.
