No doubt Reagan and Goldwater are rolling in their graves to see the type of people who have taken over the conservative movement and by default, the GOP. People like Glen Beck, Limbaugh and Hannity etc. You almost feel sorry for the baby boomer republicans who grew up with the great republicans like Eisenhower.

Calling people names is not a great way to win a debate, but whatever HuffPo thinks will work, I guess.

Liberals were not kind to Reagan, nor Goldwater. And while classic Conservatism is currently on the wane, all political coalitions have a timeline. Clinton's centrist Democrat is now gone, replaced by Liberal Democrats headed by Obama.
I think we'll see a return to Conservatism, but I suspect we will need to fall far to do so. The current loss of the value of our currency, and our stratospheric rise in debt (and debt payments) will likely do the trick.-

Nary a sign, so far as I know, decried the Bush prescription drug entitlement, even though it ballooned the deficit, enriched the pharmaceutical companies and furthered the supposed slide toward socialism. Nor, I'm told, were there any signs criticizing the $2 trillion Mr. Bush's unjust, unwarranted, unwise war in Iraq will cost our children and grandchildren. Nor ever a single sign about the Bush tax cuts, which helped squander the Clinton surplus. If this were about fiscal policy, the protests would have happened long ago.
