what strikes me about this is the vehemence of the opinions relative to the ignorance of those who hold them. it's amazing how many people modified their opinions once they were spoken to like adults.

Facts:
1. Obama told several lies in his speech to Congress.
2. Obama a couple of minutes prior to Joe Wilson yelling out called many of the congressmen in the hall liars.
3. One of the biggest complaints is the deficit spending of Obama and the Democrats. $2 trillion in 8 months which is more than the 8 years of Bush deficits.
4. The health care insurance will cost $200 billion a year and if that goes like every other guess you can increase it by a factor of 10 at least in 10 years.
5. Part of the health care insurance bill creates 53 seperate bureaucracies to controll and micromanage ALL HEALTH CARE thus driving up the cost with a mountain of paperwork that all involved people will have to fill out. Doctors offices will probably have to hire more office workers to handle it.
6. In all except one country where they have single payer the cost is out of site and takes up the largest part of the government spending. As a result they delay treatments as a method of holding back until there is money in the coffers to pay for it.
And liberals wonder why conservatives are angry. These same liberals talked about Bush bankrupting the country and ignore the fact that Obama is making Bush look like a miser.

I agree with the sound bite comment. It is easy to find a few people in such a crowd to make such a tape just as the republicans made a tape of a few trying to tell other democrats how to interrupt town meetings. Its just the same old game on both sides. These two parties will never change.

After watching the video it is apparent this is about the dumbing down of America. The woman fearing the "czars" would be given land and domain is over the top. Its a sad commentary on the American public, reality seems to not play a large part in what people believe. THe right wing hate radio broadcasters would make3 Goebbels proud.

I feel bad. Especially about the "Czar" issue. Those people really thought it came from Obama, & they really believe he's doing 'evil' things. Listening to their accents, and knowing the absolute media control by CONS in southern states, that conversation about 'Czars' shows what happens when propaganda is allowed to flourish without any other voice getting through. That group at least listened, and admitted they didn't know about Reagan starting the 'Czar' name. Hopefully they'll find a way to better inform themselves when they get home.

Honestly these people are crazy. I watched footage on the Town Halls last month with a senior citizen yelling, "Our great-grandchildren cannot afford this health plan!" and I thought: Buddy, your children cannot for socialist Medicare or Social Security for that matter. I don't know about you but it takes a hefty chunk of my money every payday. Let's let Obama make it illegal for insurance companies to drop coverage for people. And then lets join the Republicans but take it one step further. Lets work to get rid of all socialism within our government starting with their precious Medicare and Social Security. If seniors needed full coverage of private insurance that would open the doors for private enterprise and competition. If they now have to invest their retirement fully in the stock market that would help change the face of the market. It would be a Republican dream come true....or would they be backpedaling so fast it would make our heads spin? Maybe we need to fight fire with fire.

There were more people there than at the inauguration. The police told several people who went there that they had never seen a crowd this large. The word is NEVER. They also said they had no arrests, no medical problems and no garbage to clean up. Unlike the inauguration which took two or three days to clean up after. This protest was not just Republicans. It was Democrats, Independents and others. It was not just about health care but the fact that the government has grown too big and these people are concerned about it. There were so many people there, that not everyone could get into Washington, DC. They filled the area to the capitol building and beyond. The only time there was any trouble was when a public option sign was carried through the crowd but no one touched him, though they yelled. And when a man was supposed to be attempting to see KKK hoods, he was booed and the police told him to leave.

Sorry. That should be sell KKK hoods. There is no doubt we need health care reform. There's no doubt that both Republicans and Democrats are corrupt because of the power they have and staying in office year after year after year is part of the reason. Most elected officials today have forgotten who voted them in and are in their own little world. People are beyond fed up and this is why the protest happened It wasn't just the tea party but other organizations. Maybe we'll get back to people who love this country and want our constitution to be followed, not ignored.

very bias--coverage makes crowd sparse instead of the hundreds of thousand that were there.. this is typical of aol..i did notice the signs were homemade and not multi colored printed put out by acorn and unions. this protest is the real thing from regular people like me. obama and all his marxist he surrounds himself with are destroying our country.
