Are the Current Protests Just Racial Hatred? - Salem-News.Com »
Posted By chuck-the-canuck 2 months, 4 weeks ago in Political OpinionHow is a minority of extremists with no real cause of any kind getting so much news? Could it be because they are working for the same scamsters that own the news, buy the government and are duped into selling America to the highest bidder?
Is health care an issue? Nobody has shown one iota of real issue here. Illegal aliens already get public healthcare. Just ask any hospital. They walk in the door and they are treated. The taxpayer foots the bill as they have for decades. Wilson knew he was lying when he screamed out in Congress and he knew every Republican would support him.
Is Obama raising taxes? Not hardly. Taxes must be raised so we can start paying our bills. Otherwise, we are a nation of petty crooks borrowing from our children for a free ride today. More lies.
Did Obama collapse the economy? Does he own a time machine? More lies
Did Obama start the wars we are losing? More lies there too. Lies. All lies. Why lie? One reason and one reason only. It is all about race. Tea Baggers, 9-12ers, milita types, "gun rights" types all have no legitimate causes whatsoever. Nobody has heard a single sensible word that hasn't been proven by fact checkers to be phony.

"When you see Islamic mobs carrying signs: AMERICA IS THE GREAT SATAN did you ever guess that they might actually be seeing something we aren't?"
Reply
I don't have to guess. I know the Islamists are seeing something we aren't. They're seeing a threat to their goal of dominating the world while REAL AMERICANS see ourselves as a beacon of freedom. Of course, that's the same thing just from different perspectives.
Judging by this article, the author and those who feel like him would be more comfortable with the Islamists who attack America than with those of us on the right. Conservatives should learn from this.-

Well cherev, It is always the same two minority groups in collusion that are financing, organizing and pushing racism and hatred in America (and elsewhere). We see them here on propeller quite frequently. As to why they have so much "publicity" in our media, that has to do with who owns the corporate media in the US.

Republican Disaster -- The Evangelical/Zionist Anatomy of Meltdown
http://www.propeller.com/story/2009/05/20/republic...
I was a Republican insider. For instance, the late Jack Kemp was a friend who I often advised on "connecting" with the Religious Right, until I left the Republican Party and the evangelical subculture and slammed the door behind me. ....
...Talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy of doom -- in the 1970s my family was an integral part of bringing the Republican Party under the sway of the emerging Religious Right, particularly because of our support of the antiabortion movement. It was my father who talked Jerry Falwell into "taking a stand" on the "moral issues" of the day, which then morphed into the Moral Majority. Back in the 70s and early 80s Dad and I both appeared on the 700 Club many times, I preached from Jerry Falwell's pulpit and was the keynote speaker at the Religious Broadcasters and Christian Booksellers Association annual events several years running.
There came a day in 1985 (my dad had died in 1984) that I began to take another look at my commitment to the both the far right of Republican Party and the Religious Right. I came to realize that I was in bed with a group of people who were profoundly anti-American. They were professional haters. They wrapped themselves in the flag and "loved America," but it was an America in their imaginations only and cast in their image: white, middle-class, straight, born-again, homophobic and tinged with racism, not to mention misogyny.
...So what went wrong with the Republican Party? Believe me, it's all about religion!
Two religions (in the broadest sense of the term) have destroyed the Republican Party: evangelical Christianity and Christian/Jewish Zionism. Evangelical Christianity created the Religious Right which forever linked the Republican Party to the antiabortion, anti-sex education, anti-evolution and anti-gay crusades. And both Christian and Jewish Zionism linked the Republican Party to what became the neoconservative movement with its roots in such publications as Commentary magazine and their shrill Israel-can-do-no-wrong anti-Arab agenda. (I knew the late editor of Commentary Norman Podhoretz quite well, and we met several times to build alliances between evangelicals and the far American Zionist far right. When it came to Arabs, I believe he was a real racist.) -

How Low Will Israel Stoop in Its Propaganda War?
http://www.propeller.com/story/2009/09/17/how-low-...
'The Israel Project', a US media advocacy group, has produced a revised training manual to help the worldwide Zionist movement win the propaganda war, keep their ill-gotten territorial gains and persuade international audiences to accept that their crimes are necessary and conform to 'shared values' between Israel and the civilized West.
The manual teaches how to justify the slaughter, the ethnic cleansing, the land-grabbing, the cruelty and the blatant disregard for international law and UN resolutions, and make it all smell sweeter with a liberal squirt of the aerosol of persuasive language. It is designed to hoodwink us ignorant and gullible Americans and Europeans into believing that we actually share values with the racist regime in Israel and that its abominable behaviour is therefore deserving of our support.
And the manual will no doubt serve as a communications primer for the army of cyber-scribblers that Israel’s Ministry of Dirty Tricks is recruiting to spread Zionism’s poison across the internet.
This quote at the beginning sets the tone: "Remember, it’s not what you say that counts. It’s what people hear."
Top Priority: Demonize Hamas.... How daft can you get? Substitute Israel for Hamas.
Words that Work. ...
And Here’s the Rationale Behind it.... Israel does not want peace. It has never met its peace agreement obligations. Every action is directed at keeping the conflict going until the Israelis have stolen enough land and established enough 'facts on the ground' - Jews-only settlements, highways, disconnected Palestinian bantustans - to enable them to redraw the map to suit their expansionist agenda and make the occupation permanent.
Note how Israel’s strategy is almost totally dependent on the false idea that they are victims of terror and western nations need to huddle together with Israel for mutual protection. Fortunately, level-headed people are beginning to realize who the terrorists really are.
It is surely obvious by now that allowing parallels to be drawn between Israel and America only serves to increase the world’s hatred of America. US citizens need to wake up to this, and British citizens should avoid falling into the same trap.

"How is a minority of extremists with no real cause of any kind getting so much news?"
What this man ignores is what a person who has polled a lot of people has found out. 72% of the American public is angry. They do not like what they are seeing from both sides of the aisle and especially the Democrats right now. What are they angry about? The gradual loss of their freedoms as the government keeps on encroaching on them. The health care is losing on that basic concept. The pollster found that it cuts across all racial and political boundaries evenly. It is biggest in the 40 to 59 age bracket. The Tea Party and town hall protests are part of this. All the radical liberals can do is try to come up with some means to trivialize them. Calling them racists will just fan the flames even bigger. So libs just keep posting stories like this and have what the "foolish one" President Carter said be made on all the news and front page of the papers. That will feed the anger even more. Another technique that libs use is to try and make out they are just being duped or led by the hated right wing talking heads. This will also make them even more angry.
So keep it up libs and keep the hate of these people in the news and you will feed the flames even higher. Why do libs think that calling people names will change their minds. These people are for the first time in our history feeling they will not be able to leave their children better off than they were. They feel that the government is more restrictive about what they can do and also look at the public school system which since 1963 has gone downhill in educating children. I graduated high school in 1963 and am appalled at the ignorance of the school kids today. In summary they feel that the government is failing in what they do and keep encroaching on their freedoms. This is all part of their anger. So keep fanning the flames super libs.-

Well endo, the GOP has been responsible for most of the deterioration in our democracy, especially starting with Reagan and his push towards corrupt "corporate-government" collusion in favor of the super-rich at the expense of average Americans. This "trend" continued to be pùshed hard by both Bushes. It is true that both the Clinton and Obama administrations were/are far too strongly indebted to / influenced by the same "corporatism" at the expense of Americans. In short, under the influence of a corrupt elite, the Dems have succumbed to far too much of the "neo/zion/con" ideology. Imagine that under the influence of the zionist "Democratic Leadership Council", 56% of all of Clinton's appointments to the federal government were jewish, a majority of them ultra-zionists whose first loyalty to Americans is questionable. Obama is equally indebted to the same small "oligarch" coterie who "hired" him as their next puppet, e.g. all but one of his "czars" are also ultra-zionists.
Reply
Now you would like to blame government and "liberals". I would instead blame corruption and the sequestering of our government by circles who are little interested in average Americans. Yes, we should rescue/co-opt the "tea-baggers" from the propaganda campaigns financed by right-wing oligarchs that manipulate them for their own power and profit. -

I wonder if you can name even one freedom (right) you have lost since Nov '09?
As for the 72% number of angry Americans the last poll I saw showed Obama with a 56% approval. That would be near where he started. The tea party attendees and town hall screamers are but a small percentage of Americans. Although they are highly vocal.
"Why do libs think that calling people names will change their minds."
If we call you an idiot it may have something to do with those of you who suggest we elected a candidate who we hoped would undermine this great nation and that many refer to us as Socialists and Nazi's. A candidate they attempt to frame as not only operating against the interests of the United States and her Constitution but one many do not accept as an American.
If the kids of today feel government is failing them it would be clearly from an impression they are getting from their parents. It sickens me to see kids at these tea party rallies. This is not the childrens business. No one can argue that Congress is not a mess. And it has little to do with those occupying the seats.
Do you blame Madison, Jefferson and the rest for not foreseeing the influence of lobbyists and other special interests? On so many issues the Right continually acts as if these men were seers and could foresee the future. They accuse the Left of interpreting while they do the very same thing. But is their anyone out there who believes they could foresee a need for healthcare for the citzenry (as the Constitution comes prior to what we call modern medicine), anticipate communication on the level of the internet, or personal arms that could empty 50 rounds in a minute. It's so absurd but it is the view of many including several on our highest court. This document has not been amended enough and that alone is a tremendously difficult and contentious process. We cannot live in the modern world on literal terms from 1793. Many would condemn me for daring to say such a thing. But that is the reality.
Lastly I would ask you where you would rather live? I would be glad to purchase you or any of your brethren or sisters a one way ticket out on the promise you never return. Sound ugly and perhaps familiar? It's the same offer Republicans made to Democrats who complained about Bush and GOP policies. America has been through much worse than the current woes. It is the vindictiveness of the current debate that seems new (and it really isn't). There will always be negativism over political differences. Overcoming that and moving forward is however essential.

The author clearly feels only "progressives" have legitimate issues and that those who disagree are just a bunch of racist, gun loving, hicks. What other explanation could there be?
Reply
Well dipstick, I have news for you, people care about unimportant things like taxes, loss of constitutional rights, big government, socialism, illegal immigration. Government is wrong on all these issues and the people have it right. Republican / Democrat... what’s the difference? They are both corrupt and working against this great country and it's people. It doesn't matter if its Obama, Bush or Clinton. The two party monopoly and their media flunkies are making fools out of us all. No doubt, some "fact checker" will rebut this.
Go ahead, make my day. -

Yeah every time one speaks up against Obama they have to be racists right? I mean look at the color of Obama’s skin, how can anyone say anything other than that? Look there is no way anyone could disagree with his policies right? It must be racism.
Reply
Oh yeah, when firemen that have the same amount of time and the same study material can’t pass a test, it must be because the test was racist?
The party that has the longest serving RACIST in its party really needs to ask itself, why have we allowed this old KKK member a spot in our party from decade to decade? Why do we allow people in a state that keeps sending the man that uttered the N word several times on TV, to be in our ‘non-racist’ party?
Why do you belong to a leaderless party that has to resort to calling others racist because EVEN WITH a gigantic majority they are too cowardly to actually step up and lead, vote for something and accept the outcome without trying to lay of blame their ineptness on others ‘racism’?
The party where their leaders like useless Jimmy Carter comes out and sinks to that level, Maxine, Nancy, Reid et al.
The Dems have lost the battle of ideas. That is why they have resorted to their ‘nuclear’ option of throwing up their hands and crying RACISTS!
Aren’t you Dems tired of you cowardly leadership that won’t just lead by example instead of using the lowest form of hyperbole?-

Well Slate, if you were to argue against his policies with some well reasoned arguments instead of simply chanting hateful slogans fed to you by corrupt oligarchs, perhaps someone would start listening. There are increasing numbers of good arguments to protest against what the Obama administration is doing in collusion with "corrupt oligarchs", but you will have more credibility if you also recognize that this is not much different than what the GOP has been doing in practice ever since Reagan started the trend. Best of all would be that you recognize that in many areas you agree with liberals, from your comments here I would guess in areas like constitutional violations, spying on Ameicans, payoffs to corrupt financial companies, corrupt collusion between government/corporations, .....

Stop Begging Obama to be Obama and Get Mad
http://www.propeller.com/story/2009/09/15/stop-beg...
The right-wing accusations against Barack Obama are true. He is a socialist, although he practices socialism for corporations. He is squandering the country’s future with deficits that can never be repaid. He has retained and even bolstered our surveillance state to spy on Americans. He is forcing us to buy into a health care system that will enrich corporations and expand the abuse of our for-profit medical care. He will not stanch unemployment. He will not end our wars. He will not rebuild the nation. He is a tool of the corporate state.
The right wing is not wrong. It is not the problem. We are the problem. If we do not tap into the justifiable anger sweeping across the nation, if we do not militantly push back against corporate fraud and imperial wars that we cannot win or afford, the political vacuum we have created will be filled with right-wing lunatics and proto-fascists. The goons will inherit power not because they are astute, but because we are weak and inept.
Violence is a dark undercurrent of American history. It is exacerbated by war and economic decline. Violence is spreading outward from the killing fields in Iraq and Afghanistan to slowly tear apart individuals, families and communities. There is no immunity. The longer the wars continue, the longer the members of our working class are transformed by corporate overlords into serfs, the more violence will dominate the landscape. The slide into chaos and a police state will become inevitable.

Whether it's a minority or not is irrelevant. Whether it's racial is irrelevant. In this country they have a right to be heard. For arrogant elitists like Nancy Pelosi and dumb dumb Jimmy Carter to dismiss as rioters and mobs is assinine on it's best day. Interesting U never saw protests like this when Bush was in office. U can't gloss over this one. The liberal media showed any protest against Bush even it only had 5-10 people but U never saw protests like this.

The news media scam
Here's a quotation that should awaken every American: "The enormous gap between what US leaders do in the world and what Americans think their leaders are doing is one of the great propaganda accomplishments of the dominant political mythology." (Michael Parenti, political scientist and author)
Have you ever heard of Edward Bernays? No? That is understandable. He never sought the limelight, but he is undoubtedly one of most influential people of the Twentieth Century. When he died in 1995, the New York Times ran an obituary on him, calling him the "Father of public relations." He truly was.
He was hired to be the chief adviser to William (Bill) Paley, head of CBS radio in 1928. From that humble beginning, CBS News became the dominant news organization in the world for many years. And the elevation of CBS News to that lofty position can justly be ascribed to the amazing public relations abilities of Edward Bernays.
...Unfortunately, Bernays not only sought to report the news but to manipulate the public into accepting what CBS News thought the public should accept. In other words, he sought to brainwash us.
Think that's crazy? Listen to what Bernays said in his own book, Propaganda, 1928:
The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country . . . we’re dominated by the relatively small number of persons . . . it is they who pull the wires which control the public mind, who harness old social forces and contrive new ways to bind and guide the world. (Propaganda, Liveright Publishing Company, New York, 2005, excerpts from pp. 9-19)
Do you like the idea of being "manipulated," having someone "pull the wires [to] control the public mind?" Or do you think that they can't manipulate us? And what do you think of his statement that the brain-washers "constitute an invisible government?" I think it's scary. But it happens today all the time.

Let's face it. A 20 year old kid with no journalistic credentials or experience just body-slammed Obama's (the eloquent Harvard-trained lawyer) pet organization to the mat with a ludicrous, 3rd-rate ruse involving a fake pimp and prostitute who manage to let ACORN officials verbally hang themselves with rope made of cantina wire, costing them potentially billions in taxpayer funding.

You can't make this stuff up folks. No liberal filth ever once imagined they could pull off a stunt like this with a conservative organization supported by President Bush. And no liberal filth ever will.-
