Acorn had chances to open the books up and let everyone see if they were a sound group worthy of tax money . Now i guess they will fall into one big giant corrupt hole like many more to come. What i dont understand is the people that just defend acorn wether they are demed corrupt or not. I guess some people think corupt grups are OK as long as they favor one party or the other.

If anyone thinks that the Tea Party Rally on 9/12 had nothing to do with this they are kidding themselves. Congress got the message loud and clear. So did the O man. Pelosi was at her catatonic best today. Congress needs to launch a full investigation into this and also both Rathke brothers which will also bring the SEIU into light.

Poor cons. The group was only getting a lousy 50 million dollars a year to begin. Now they'll have to rely on private donations (at least until the investigation is over). Even worse for cons is that ACORN isn't the only group that registers low income and minority voters. Guess, you'll have to blame some other group when you lose next year. ;-P

P.S. Cons? If you think we won't be watching each and every con "non-profit" like a hawk, think again. We'll expose you criminal clowns as hypocrites again and again because sooner or later cons will get trapped in their own game. Mark my words. We're already finding out how these teabagger demonstrations are being funded. Karma will bite you, cons. Trust me. ;-P

It takes the people to clean up the corrupt goverment funded groups. They should wake up and check all of goverment funded groups that have grown to fat on our tax money. The next thing the people and Fox news will get cleaned up is in California. I will bet there will be a big march and push to get the water flowing back to the valley in California. We the people need to take back over and fix stupid goverment stuff.

"The other story in this vote is the fact that the US has more or less nationalized the student-loan industry"

When will the the investigations begin? I'm waiting for the Special Prosecutor to be appointed. Actually, they might need at least two to go everywhere this investigation is going to take them.

In an as-yet unconfirmed story, flight activity between the cities of Baltimore, Washington DC, Los Angeles and the Central American nation of El Salvador have markedly increased over the past 3 weeks. Industry insiders have not yet offered an explanation for this increase, but welcome the economic activity.

Congressional budget watchdogs are looking into allegations that Democrats have booked for the next 6 months government aircraft reserved for lawmakers. Republicans complain that the aircraft is intended for official government business, and they question why exactly so many Democrats are dominating the schedules of so many aircraft--for flights to El Salvador.

If that's possible.

The vote to defund Acorn in the senate was 87 to 9. I guess according the Jimmy Carter (the absurd) that means we have 87 "racists" in the Upper Chamber & in the house 345 "racists"

I get a kick out of CBS, NBC & ABC "News" they get to the real stories about a week to late.

                      Friday, August 22, 2008

U.S. Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign paid more than $800,000 to an offshoot of the liberal Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now for services the Democrat's campaign says it mistakenly misrepresented in federal reports.

An Obama spokesman said Federal Election Commission reports would be amended to show Citizens Services Inc. -- a subsidiary of ACORN -- worked in "get-out-the-vote" projects, instead of activities such as polling, advance work and staging major events as stated in FEC finance reports filed during the primary.

FEC spokeswoman Mary Brandenberger said it is not unusual for campaigns to amend reports, even regarding large sums of money.

But, said Blair Latoff, spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee: "Barack Obama's failure to accurately report his campaign's financial records is an incredibly suspicious situation that appears to be an attempt to hide his campaign's interaction with a left-wing organization previously convicted of voter fraud. For a candidate who claims to be practicing 'new' politics, his FEC reports look an awful lot like the 'old-style' Chicago politics of yesterday."

Money flows back and forth between ACORN, Citizens Services Inc., Project Vote and Communities Voting Together. ACORN posts job ads for Citizens Services and Project Vote. Communities Voting Together contributed $60,000 to Citizens Services Inc., for example, in November 2005, according to a posting on CampaignMoney.com. Project Vote has hired ACORN and CSI as its highest paid contractors, paying ACORN $4,649,037 in 2006 and CSI $779,016 in 2006, according to Terry of the Consumers Rights League.
