What makes me laugh most about the claims that everyone wants to be on the government plan are the paid protesters who show up to the events. Most are government employees, members of unions such as the teachers unions, teamsters, sheet metal, aerospace workers, hospitality, etc. Are they just stupid or are they simply puppets to the union commands? Most groups doing the most protesting are exempt from the public option. The reason? Their union leaders understand their current coverage is better than what would be offered. Yet they want you to be forced to give up your current plan. But again, I don't remember any of the union folks knowing about this. Once again, the protected class wagging the dog.

but you don't know any of the costings do you? to decide your present insurance is better than what may be offered is not logical.

If there is a public plan, it will be gamed similar to how fannie and freddie were gamed for mortgages.

American citizens are clever and will figure out ways to screw the system. Somehow it will collect all the high risk individuals.

Within five years, all government and corporate top management will have private plans ... the workers on the public plan and the cost will be extremely high.
