So, as leftards maliciously call Obama critics racist in an effort to get such critics to dummy up and back down, all the leftards are really accomplishing is the gutting of a once powerful word into that of a useless word suitable only for name calling and for bullying. So be it. The word 'racist' is over and misused to the point of abusing the word by them anyway.

We can now ad the word 'racist' to the dustbin of history for words that have been abused and twisted so much out of context. Words like 'Gay' which once merely meant happy and the U.K. three letter word for cigarette that starts with 'f' and ends with 'g', another word that has been ruined and abused. -

The article is a good one, but I certainly disagree with some of the comments of the author's sources - this one professor thinks whites call supporters of liberal laws to help minorities "racists" because of the power structure in America changing. I hope I am misreading her, but I don't think I am. A problem cannot possibly be a problem unless a white causes it, right? If these leftists don't like to be called racist, I have a better name for them. Bet lots of you out there do too.

One irony is that when Carter was President, his appointee as ambassador to the UN, Andrew Young, turned a lot of old ideas of what constitutes racism on their head. He said, for instance, that Southerners are less likely to be racist than Northerners, and that those who are "color-blind" are racist because they ignore the fact that there are important cultural differences between the races.

A lot of people, here and abroad, were upset by his remarks, but Carter backed him up. I don't know how his ideas affected the use of the word "racist" because after a short while the media stopped reporting on the controversy. -
