As the title of this post informs us, correctly!
Then the next paragraph contradicts the title 100%
Russia has announced its own plans to deploy missiles near Poland after Barack Obama said the United States would not deploy a missile defense system in Central Europe.
Followed by:
In a Saturday radio interview, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Vladimir Popovkin said his country’s plans to put Iskander short-range missiles in the Kaliningrad region was now unnecessary because the Polish-Czech missile system was scrapped.
???????????
Where the heck do nthey hide their brains at therightperspective.org?
How can anyone be so inane as to post this nonsense? Or vote for it?

Why do we need to deploy missiles in a foreign country? Let them deploy them, maintain them, man them, and be responsible for them?

I could be wrong, but that doesn't seem like the verbiage of escalation. -

Due to the actions of Obama backing down with placing missles in Poland, Russia agreed (but the final word from the heirachy of Russia) said it would drop their plans to place missles in Poland.
Reply
Now the reason on Obama said missles in Poland weren't needed was due to the fact IRAN will not be able to produce a nuclear head missle for the next 4 to 5 years.
I do not know what Obama thinks--he said his advisors advised him of these facts. It seems as if something goes wrong, misinformation is given to him--thus resulting in a tragic response--OBAMA'S WILL COME BACK AND SAY: I acted on the intelligence given to me by my advisors. Doesn't this sound like Bush---
When Ahmadinejad (the Iranian leader) addressed his people, Ahmadinejad reiterated Israel does not have the right to exist. The holocaust is a FARCE! And those who support Israel will be in jeopardy or receive retaliation too.
Ahmadinejad also: IT IS TIME TO END ZIONISTS--zionists has come to its final end!
Then Obama is stupid if he thinks Iran will have a missle with a nuke head in 4 to 5 years.
Remember--Russia intervend when the elections and all the rioting in the streets--women being murdered--Russia called up the Supreme leader AYATOLLAH KHOMENEI--told them they wanted Ahmadinejad to win the election. Do not change the leadership!
Russia on the ground with the North Koreans when the missles were being launched. In fact, the Russians confirmed with the press the launch was successful.
Russia has supplied Iran with arms--uranium to have a missle!
Russia is opposed to any sanctions against Iran and any future sanctions of Iran! Who will Russia hide behind? Iran The National Republic of Islam!
So Obama's laid back approach--calling for restraint--not placing missles in Poland--THIS MOVE on our part could cost the lives of many Americans.
With the facts stated above about Russia--Iran--USA are very true!
What I see is another Pearl Harbor incident--signs all around our armed forces and the President, signs ignored--the attack came without any protection--didn't take our enemy serious--and the results was horrific--ALL BECAUSE THE GOVT IGNORED THE OBVIOUS AND REMAINED LAID BACK AND WAS CAUGHT WITH THEIR PANTS DOWN!
Also let the White House know that you don't appreciate the zars who will monitor all blogs--invasion of our privacy--and Obama said (more or less) it is a public blog--we can do it too! With motives not so honorable, to see who is saying what and tag you!-

Why weren't your ilk as vocal when Bush was doing the same thing? Or when Bush was illegally trawling through PRIVATE information without a warrant? Or when past presidents had THEIR intelligence agencies using public sourced information? Or were you just too stupid to know about it then?

Russia may deploy new-generation ballistic missiles by 2017
MOSCOW, December 14 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Strategic Missile Forces (SMF) may adopt a new ballistic missile system in the next decade, an SMF spokesman said Friday.
At present, Russia deploys Topol-M (NATO reporting name SS-27) ballistic missiles as the mainstay of its land-based component of the nuclear triad. As of December 2006, Russia's SMF operated 44 silo-based and three mobile Topol-M missile systems.
"In the next five-ten years Russia's SMF may adopt a new, more advanced [than the Topol-M] ballistic missile system," Alexander Vovk said.
Russia's Defense Ministry earlier said several dozen silo launchers and over 50 Topol-M mobile missile systems would be put on combat duty before 2015.
"The Topol-M missile complexes have been developed to counter U.S. missile shield plans in Europe," the official said, citing SMF Commander Colonel General Nikolai Solovtsev.
"However, if Russia faces an unfavorable global situation in the future, we may decide to develop new [ballistic] missile systems."
The first Topol-M mobile missile battalion entered duty with a missile unit stationed near the town of Teikovo, about 150 miles northeast of Moscow, on December 12, 2006.
Solovtsov said earlier a second missile battalion, equipped with Topol-M mobile ICBMs, would be put on combat duty before the end of 2007 and the deployment of silo-based Topol-M systems in the Saratov Region and road-mobile systems in the Ivanovo Region (central Russia) would be completed in 2010.
He also said Russia would equip the Topol-M missile systems with multiple independently targetable reentry vehicles in the next two or three years. -

CARACAS, Venezuela - Russia has opened a $2.2 billion line of credit for Venezuela to purchase weapons including armored vehicles and surface-to-air missiles, President Hugo Chavez said Sunday.
Venezuela is buying more arms because it feels threatened by Colombia's decision to give U.S. troops greater access to its military bases, Chavez said.
Repeating a frequent theme of his presidency, the socialist leader said the United States would like to invade Venezuela and seize the country's oil fields. He said the bases in Colombia could help the U.S. stage such an attack.
The arms deal was announced last week during Chavez's visit to Moscow, and he gave details Sunday. Chavez said the deal calls for Venezuela to buy 92 Russian-made T-72 tanks as well as Smerch anti-aircraft missile launching systems. He didn't say how many missile launchers Venezuela was buying.
"The Russian government approved financing for $2.2 billion. For what? For weapons, and we must thank them," Chavez said. "We've decided to install a powerful anti-air defense system."
Last week, Chavez said the deal also included the purchase of ground-to-ground missiles with a range of up to 186 miles (300 kilometers). He said they were needed to improve Venezuela's defenses. -

In the latest of a series of combative moves by the Kremlin, a senior government official in Moscow said the Russian military would commission 70 strategic missiles over the next three years, as part of a massive rearmament programme which will also include short-range missiles, 300 tanks, 14 warships and 50 planes.
Reply
Military experts said the planned new arsenal was presumed to consist of land-based intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) rather than submarine-launched missiles. If this is the case, the plans represent a fourfold increase in the rate of ICBM deployment. The arsenal will include a new-generation, multiple-warhead ICBM called the RS-24. It was first test-fired in 2007, with first deputy prime minister Sergei Ivanov boasting it was "capable of overcoming any existing or future missile defence systems".
The new missiles will be part of a £95bn defence procurement package for 2009-2011, a 28% increase in arms spending, according to Vladislav Putilin of the cabinet's military-industrial commission. There will be further increases in spending in the following two years.
The new military procurements follow the war in Georgia in August. Russian forces easily routed Georgian troops, but the conflict exposed weaknesses in the Russian army, including outdated equipment and poorly co-ordinated command structures. The defence ministry said it would carry out drastic reforms, turning the army into a more modern force. -

Innovative Buk-M3 and Tor-M2 missile defense systems will enter Russia’s Armed Forces’ inventory in 2008 to 2009, ITAR-TASS reported.
Reply
Over 50 percent of the missile defense systems at Russia’s Armed Forces are obsolete, said Colonel General Nikolay Frolov, who heads the Field Air Defense of the RF Armed Forces. Passing into service new facilities will change the situation, Frolov pointed out.
Created based on Tor-M1, Tor-M2 will be launched into production already in 2008. In specification, Tor-M2 excels the ancestor two fold.
The RF Armed Forces will get first Buk-M3s in 2009. It was designed by using the present-day element base and could be regarded a totally new system, Frolov said.
Frolov also announced the plans to upgrade most popular missile defense system of the RF Army, Osa (Wasp), as well as Tunguska missile and gun system and Strela-10 missile defense system. Those facilities have missiles with photo-contrast guidance systems and are expected to operate round-the-clock and no matter what the weather would be. -

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia has begun producing a new generation intercontinental missile, a senior government official said on Monday, after a successful test launch.

Russia's military hailed Friday's test of the Bulava, a submarine-launched ballistic missile that can carry nuclear warheads to targets more than 8,000 km (5,000 miles) away, after a host of mishaps that had raised doubts about its future.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov, who oversees defense issues within the government, said another test launch would take place this year and that defense enterprises had already started large scale production of the weapon.
"By the end of the year another test of Bulava is planned," Ivanov told a cabinet meeting, state RIA news agency reported.
"At the same time our defense enterprises have started mass production," he said.
The 12-meter Bulava, which means "mace" in Russian and whose design is based on the Topol-M missile, was supposed to complete testing two years ago. But at least several public test launch failures had raised concerns inside the navy about the weapon. -

Chkalovsky (Russia), Dec 26 (RIA Novosti) The Russian government has approved the production of Ka-52 Alligator attack helicopters in the country’s Far East, while the air force is testing a new missile for the S-400 Triumf air defence system, officials said here Friday. The Ka-52 is a twin-seater derivative of the Ka-50 Hokum-A attack helicopter, and is designed mainly for reconnaissance and target designation purposes. The helicopter is similar to the US AH-64 Apache attack helicopter.
Reply
“The Russian government has approved the production of the first batch of Ka-52 helicopters at the Arsenyevsk plant,” Col. Gen. Alexander Zelin, said.
Deliveries of the first 12 Ka-52 Hokum-Bs to the Russian Air Force will start in 2009.
Zelin said the Russian Air Force would receive more than 100 new helicopters, including Ka-52 and Mi-28 N Night Hunter, over the next four years.
The S-400 (SA-21 Growler) is designed to intercept and destroy airborne targets up to 400 km, twice the range of the US MIM-104 Patriot missiles.
The system is expected to form the cornerstone of Russia’s theatre air and missile defences up to 2020 and beyond.
“The S-400 system is being successfully deployed with air defence units. At present, we are testing a new missile for this system,” Zelin said.
Russia successfully conducted firing tests of the S-400 air defence at the Kapustin Yar firing range last year and deployed a battalion of the first missile regiment equipped with the new system to protect the airspace surrounding Moscow.
The system is believed to be able to destroy stealth aircraft, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles, with an effective range of up to 3,500 km, and with a maximum speed of 4.8 km per second.
A regular S-400 battalion comprises at least eight launchers with 32 missiles and a mobile command post, according to officials.
Russia’s new arms procurement programme (until 2015) stipulates the purchase of S-400 air defence systems to arm 18 battalions during the period. -
