  All taxes and or other fees are currently being accessed from a rapidly dwindling supply our pockets. Who are they kidding with semantics? This means that more dollars, of our money, will be transfered to the federal government to spend wisely. Crazy!

    It will save money in that people will not use emergency rooms as primary care and that people who do not have insurance will not wait until they're in dire straits due to a condition which couuld have been prevented.

      You are making assumptions that if healthcare was affordable, people would pay for it. That simply is false. There are a certain percentage of people without healthcare coverage in this country who can afford to have healthcare coverage. They simply choose to not have it. It is those same people that then want someone else to pay for the coverage when they finally need it. If you choose to not have coverage, it is called freedom. If you choose to have coverage, it is also called freedom.

  So if you don't have the money to buy health insurance as required (perhaps because you've lost your job) you're fined. If you can't pay the fine, what?... you go to jail? Well there's your frigging change you can believe in huh?

  In the present proposal,or bill it is called an excise tax.Politico/Morning Joe MSNBC 09 / 21 / 09.Its a tax,everything Obama touches is a confiscation of our earnings.He made it clear in his campaign,he will take what you have,then he,and his Czars(thugs)will determine your need.So as the Marxist,and Communist have written in the past the state is more qualified to make these assessments than you are.

  What really burned my azz was when Obama laughed in the face of Stephanopoulos for having Merriam-Webster's definition of a "tax" in front of him. He said the fact that George looked up the definition was proof that he was "reaching" to call a tax a tax. What a show of utter arrogance. Obama seems to think he is a better source than a world-renowned authority. Remember when Clinton questioned the meaning of "is"?
  
  More and more people are taking off their Obama-colored glasses and it is a welcome development.
