By estimates of weather forecasters, the storm brought to the country of about 5 million tons sand. The dust storm came in New South Wales, Queensland and Capital Territory. In Sydney, the elements prevented the movement, repealed international flights. According to weather forecasters, it is the most strong dust storm in the history of meteorological observations in Australia. More than 200 people sought medical help - they occurred breathing problems.
