You seem to have some sense. I invite you to trustserve.net. It's not a LARGE community, but it does seem to have a number of refuges from this board who prefer to (mostly) discourse in a polite and respectful manner. Several there may have even READ the Constitution and would much prefer our government defend and uphold it as they have sworn to do.

And yes, it is very frustrating that those who proudly point at the "general welfare" phrase to excuse their governmental excesses never seem to know anything about the writings of Jefferson, Madison, you-name-the-founder, NOR about the 9th and 10th Amendments, which I take to be an attempt to FIX that damned "general welfare" clause.
