Orphan Sunday campaign encourages local advocacy events nationwide »

November 8, 2009 has been named "Orphan Sunday", a day chosen by a coalition of more than fifty Christian organizations to encourage local churches and groups nationwide to advocate for orphans all over the world. Comprised of key Christian agencies and non-profits such as Bethany Christian Services, Focus on the Family, Show Hope and Family Life, the campaign goal is to schedule at least one thousand local Orphan Sunday events across America.
