    We have some serious mentally deficient people leading this country. Let's repeat that first insanity and hope it works this time. It's Keystone Kopps without the comedy.

    Someone please enlighten me. What is this mania to encourage people to purchase homes they cannot afford? This would mean they probably cannot afford the maintenance, the taxes, the insurance, etc. What is the driving force here? What makes this particular idea worth adding to the American economy's demise?

      Does it not occur to anyone that Congress feels guilty for causing this crisis, and that is why they are tinkering with OUR money to make those who were damaged feel a little better?

      Delay the collapse and make it worse. Add to the debt and make the people happy. The next Congress should be limited to economists from the Austrian school.
