What a brilliant man. I have read most of his books.
The video shows he still has his sense of humor. I hope everyone can watch to the end.

I can't imagine a better position for a man with such a brilliant mind than 'director of research.'

"I want to share my excitement and enthusiasm. There's nothing like the Eureka moment, of discovering something that no-one knew before. I won't compare it to sex, but it lasts longer."

        Brilliant man!

The headline is somewhat misleading. He is changing positions not leaving Cambridge.

Endo-Stephen Hawkins is not merely changing his job,he is standing down from a position that Issac Newton and Charles Babbage have each held "Lucasian professor of mathematics"to a more "run of the mill" position. Its like changing from being president of the USA,to helping out in the next mans campaign. It's semi retirement by another name.
