The U.S. is a great contry, but it's neither "the best" nor "the worst" country. No country is, they all have their flaws and shortcomings.
Obama rightfully hoped to get the Olympics to Chicago, because he knew that it would be a major boost to the economy, providing jobs and income to a country in dire need of it. To take joy in this not happening shows a profound lack of understanding, empathy and downright callousness with the plight of the average American. It's despicable and inhuman, not to mention seriously anti-patriotic.

In a city as corrupt as Chicago, you can bet this would have been a money maker for only a few of the Obama-Daley thugs. The cost would have been born on the backs of the little old taxpayers, as usual.

And I'm sure you can provide evidence that such a thing would happen, right?
        No?
        Didn't think so?
So, another baseless assertion designed to try and rile up the uninformed.

His assertion is more correct than you know. Chicago has a long list of people who have corrupted the system for financial gain. Daley bought quite a huge parcel of land in the south, coincidentally right where a third airport was being discussed to be built. Then overnight he shuts down Miegs Field. Naw, no connection there. Then ther was the tricks for hire scandal, which cost a poor family their lives, then there is Ryan, Thompson Edgar, Blogo, the list goes on. We haven't even gotten to Cook County, with the honorable Todd Stroger at the helm. He handed out more 6-figure jobs to family and friends than anyone before, and in record time, I might add. promptly after doing that he raised the taxes to the highest sales tax rate in the country. Did we get to the CTA yet? They keep asking for money and then build a brand new 13 story office building for themselves. Quite a bit of the offices are empty. How much more evidence would you like? Do we want to start looking at the Obama connection? Remember his real estate deal with Rezko? Oh, yeah, Rezko was just being a good friend for that deal, nothing was expected in return. If you beleive that, I have some cornfields in southland to sell you.

It would not be astonishing to find out that certain "players" in the Chicago scene would get more than their fair share of money from a budget as big as the Olympics. To believe any other way is naive.
