Three weeks ago, the Progressive Caucus began a whip count of their membership to see how many were willing to oppose a health care reform plan that did not contain a public option. It appears the number they came up with is 46:

    It would be too much to hope for that the Progressive wing of the Democratic Party would do something right for the American People, even for the wrong reasons. You would be hard pressed to find someone who does not agree that Healthcre needs to be reformed. It should be done with a bi-partisan approach. It should also apply to Congress and the Unions.
