'Paper Boys' is an exploration of a microcosm of young door-to-door newspaper salesmen who are closer than most families in many regards. A truly ensemble piece, the film revolves around a common problem for teens which most often feels unique but isn't, dysfunctional, non-traditional family. Add to this violence, psychological abuse, confusion over sexuality and a fierce awareness of one's own economic standing, the main character turns to drugs and finds himself in a tailspin while his friends have no idea how to handle it. False bravado and hyper-sexuality amplified by drugs and painful circumstances, gives us a recipe for rich juxtaposition of comedy and potential tragedy. The soundtrack by Benjamin New creates a relentless ride which leaves one emotionally exhausted from laughter and tears.

UPDATE- The indie award winning film by Bryan E. Hall (that I did the soundtrack for), "Paper Boys" ,has been chosen to be featured at the Dixie Film Fest in Athens.
Come on down to Athens and mingle with the actors, producers and composer.
If you haven't heard the soundtrack, visit here:
    http://www.ilike.com/artist/Paper+Boys+the+Movie/t...
Songs by The Mighty Parrot Band, Jamie Radford and Dear Savannah are featured in the film along with my score.
It's available in CD or Mp3 format and some of the music can be downloaded FREE.
If you missed the Atlanta Premiere, this is a chance to see the director's cut before it's off to L.A.
( The film recieved an Indiefest award for outstanding technical achievement and for it's soundtrack).

I hope no one takes me as egotistical, It's not me I'm proud of, I'm certainly no better or worse than any of my fellow travelers.. but the work that flowed through me I view as a little like my children, (I am very proud of the work itself).

I'm not sure who did the voiceover on the trailer clip.
(For an indie film, the budget is a decent one, but celebrities for voiceovers are unlikely at this point I would guess).
Not sure when the movie will play in the Northeast. After creating a buzz at film festivals, the producers are shopping it in L.A. next, distribution will depend on what happens there. Ironically there was early interest from European distributors. Bryan (director-Screenwriter) has said he would like to shop it here in the U.S. first. I'll keep posting news.
