Wearily familiar as he is with the "vast right-wing conspiracy," Bill Clinton says the network that sought to destroy him and his wife, Hillary, remains malignant as ever, yet lacks the might of a decade ago. "It's not as strong as it was, because America's changed," he told David Gregory on "Meet the Press." "But it's as virulent as it was."

FTA-The signs of a resurgent right-wing smear industry, and the role that would be played by the old VRWC in the Obama era, first became clear toward the end of last year's historic election. Suddenly in the final months of the campaign, long after conservatives had despaired of another Swift-boat triumph, a curious outfit called the National Republican Trust PAC emerged from the shadows with two exceptionally nasty independent commercials -- and millions of dollars to spend airing them. Between the end of September and Election Day, the mysterious NRT PAC raised and spent enough money to qualify as the single largest non-party purchaser of airtime in the 2008 election.

Using a photo of Mohammed Atta, the first NRT ad connected Obama to the 9/11 hijackers with the false claim that he wanted to permit illegal immigrants to get drivers licenses. FactCheck.org described that ad as "one of the sleaziest false TV ads of the campaign.

Believe it or not there once was a time when Rupert Murdoch was not permitted to pollute U.S. airwaves... he isn't even a citizen.

It's a circular logic echo chamber.
We see it here on Prop.quite often.
If there is even a source cited at all, it often is one of these sites that has no accountability, quoted by some other site, passed off eventually by more respected sources who report the claim, without regard for authenticity.
They know simply repeating something over and over eventually makes even the sane people begin to consider it.

The right wing cabal, headed up by the world's most powerful and wealthy individuals, will pump billions into getting their GOP candidates elected. It really took off with Reagan's election. That put them in a position to deregulate everything so they could play fast and loose and loot this country and its citizens. They gained power through their 'owned' media outlets that told the same lies over and over and over and the 'dumbed down' american bought it. The rhetoric and lies have become more shrill and hateful and racist in the ensuing years.

Now they have actually gone too far, getting absolute radical lunatics elected to congress that are no longer appealing to the average THINKING American. Their hate, rhetoric, and "just say NO" attitude is actually only appealing to their small audience of gun-totin bible-thumpin backy-spittin uneducated racist good ole boy followers. The rest of America will reject them outright.

VOTE OUT ALL REPUBLICANS IN 2010!

Hold on. A dozen or so talk show hosts does not constitute a "vast right-wing conspiracy". I think people, especially the conservatives are being heard now because they're tired of sitting around listening to the liberal bias. You have it from the news, TV shows, cable and movies. Obama was their crowning achievement. They won the presidency for him. A rather young, unqualified freshman senator from a rather corrupt district. He's opened almost no records. There are some folks still claiming he wasn't born here. He's traveled to areas known for terrorism and associates with know terrorists. None of that mattered. If anyone questioned his stand on anything, you were accused of being a racist. So actually, there is a "vast left-wing conspiracy". It's called ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN.

The ownership of the media outlets are not "leftists", not one of them. MSNBC is the only liberal leaning commentary I've seen.
And frankly I lament news being opinionated. Murdoch has said he started Fox noise to "bring Clinton Down". It is a political network, not a news network. It just should not masquerade as reporting. It isn't.

Clinton must be getting senile and paranoid in his elderly status. Him and Jimmy Carter are probably drinking buddies. Clinton must not be getting any interns to satisfy him any more.

What a hoot, the liberals have large majorities in the House and Senate and a liberal "community organizer" from Chicago in the White House yet they still whine about some invented "vast right-wing conspiracy".

            Poor little victims.

The article attempts to blame the failure of Obamacare on the Republicans but it is in fact the in-fighting among the Democrats that has halted their dear leader's plans.

Do go on though, my poor little liberal victims. It is quite enjoyable to watch the Democrats eat their own even as they attempt to place blame on a non-existent boogyman.

"If you have no record to run on, you paint your opponent as someone to run from." -- Barack Obama, 2008 DNC Nomination Acceptance Speech.

That's precisely what Obama's entire campaign was all about...running and hiding from his own record, while desparaging his opponents records. Deceit, hypocrisy and obfuscation at it's best.
