Letting a country we trust enrich their uranium, instead of their doing so themselves, was a concession by Iran to the distrust we have of them. The idea is, if someone else enriches their uranium, they will stop short of developing weapon grade uranium. On the other hand, if you do not want to trust them, you can imagine that another country's developing their fuel grade uranium frees Iran to concentrate on enrichment for weapons!

This is interesting. As I recall, Netanyahu recently took a trip to Russia to ask them not to do this. His failure to get the Russians to cooperate in isolating Iran is very instructive. It is safe to presume Obama, if he's doing anything at all, will also not get cooperation. So Iran will continue on their path to develop nuclear weapons.

What will Netanyahu do?
There are those who insist that Iran is developing nuclear power for peaceful purposes, and demand proof of the charges that Iran's developing nuclear weapons. There is some merit to this request. Ahmadinejad says that Iran is developing nuclear power for peaceful purposes. Ahmadinejad also claims the Holocaust never happened. Consequently, I can understand why those who demand proof that Ahmadinejad is lying when he says he only wants nukes for peace. After all, he's being so truthful about the Holocaust, right? -

At least Russia is on-board with the upcoming inspections of Iran's facilities that Obama exposed. The likelihood of the intent can be determined by evaluating the development site. I am sure Russia is aware the missile defense system can be turned back on if this turns into a hot button matter.

To be the provider of something is to control it. Let's hope Russia will provide the control of Iran's leaders' "end of days" ambition.

My speculation is that if Russia were to provide Iran with weapons grade uranium and Iran used nuclear weapons against Israel or any other nation, the finger of blame would point to Russia. -

Russia is now the largest oil and gas producer in the world. One way or the other, Russia is playing to take de facto control of even greater percentages of the world's of oil and gas production. If it can control a nuclear-armed Iran, it achieves its end. Even if it cannot control a nuclear-armed Iran, it also achieves its end... for a nuclear-armed Iran will be the big boy on the block in re: Middle Eastern oil supply. If Iran should become, or even come close to becoming, that big boy, prices go up and Russia wins. Russia has no interest in keeping nuclear weapons out of the hands of the Iranians. Any indication that they do is window dressing and a play for time for the Iranians.

Let's look at the two options Israel has. One, do nothing and pray that Iran isn't developing nuclear weapons. If they do, however, the destruction of Israel is a possibility. Two, attack the facilities processing the uranium on the possibility that they are creating weapons grade uranium. The facility and any possible personnel present would be destroyed.

Simply put: risk the destruction of Israel with tens or hundreds of thousands killed or the destruction of uranium processing facilities and comparatively few personnel. Which would you choose?-

One of these days Israel is going to do one of these attacks and get more than it bargained for. How much longer are it's neighbors going to put up with them attacking anyone they think is a threat. Remember Pakistan already has nukes and they are a Muslim nation.

I suppose it depends on if you're a nation of laws or a terrorist nation. As Israel is the latter, I suppose they'll choose to bomb whomever they please as they always have.

mjc123180- Just remember one thing when you are asked to go to war, and that is who exactly is after the power and control and does not do good for god. As a soldier you will not be asked to think but merely follow orders, hopefully those above you do not lie about the reasons you must fight. The reasons for war are not always as clear as one thinks.

I love reading the articles like this one which cause all the rednecks, dropouts and cockroaches, who've never been off the blocks they grew up on, to come crawling out from under their respective rocks to spew hatred and ignorance. It makes a smart person feel good about him/herself , even on a bad day. What a bunch of uninformed/misinformed nitwits. Sheeesh!
