<a href='javascript:viewimage();'><img width='150' class='img_l' alt='An image for the news story Swank takes off as a pilot' src='http://media.tiscali.co.uk/images/feeds/w... /></a><p>Hilary Swank Hilary Swank is taking her upcoming film role as famed aviator Amelia Earhart seriously - the actress is studying for a pilot's license.</p><p>Swank took to the skies for flying lessons to prepare for her part in upcoming film Amelia.</p><p>And the Oscar winner insists she's ready to become the latest celebrity pilot, despite being anxious about the solo flight she must take to earn her credentials.</p><p>She says, "I am (studying for my pilot's license). I don't sweat a lot, but when I fly, my whole back is drenched. The concentration, the focus. It is so wonderful. I just picked up my boyfriend in Las Vegas! He had a business meeting there, and I flew with my instructor and picked him up."</p><p>Swank will join good company in the skies - John Travolta, Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are all qualified pilots.</p>
