If everybody stopped paying for insurance and started paying for health care, these companies would be out of business in 60 days.

Insurance companies exist BECAUSE of their customers, not in spite of them. Where did they ever get the idea that denying people needed care would be good for their business model?

Why do people want to give them even more money ? The fight for a public option is as much about reigning in insurance company's as it is about health care for everyone...If we don't have a public option you can bet that your premiums are going up soon after the dust settles..They see the writing on the wall now and are going to get as much as they can..Why not the right is trying their best to make sure that well never dry's up for them..It is a pathetic state when people choose to help the corporations rather than their neighbors.

I wonder why the faux-Christian right is so ardent in protecting the actions of such companies who treat We the People, the ones who pay into their funds, this way. Supporting such Industry is NOT supporting the concept of Capitalism in any way as there are no other alternatives. A locked and closed market is NOT a Capitalist market, especially when that market is protected through Government payoffs. That is, at best, National Socialism.

The "conservatives" here in America are only trying to "conserve" the profits of an elite group...even when doing so harms them as much as it does everyone else. These insurance companies will cut off and deny a "conservative's" coverage just as quickly as they will anyone elses. Why do they keep fighting against their own interests?

What is needed is a way that We the People can pool our resources, voluntarily, to purchase coverage ON OUR TERMS. Why don't "conservatives" want We the People to have FREEDOM OF CHOICE in the Marketplace?

The reason (aside from the obvious graft) no one will touch insurance companies is almost everyone OWNS them...retirement funds, municipalities, states, unions all are heavily invested in their stocks. We can't begin to change the fundamental problems unless we divest.

Cigna employees who believe they are right to deny care and the evil ones who love money above people will find a very rude reception when they pass from life to eternity.

They will most definitely wish ferverntly, that they had loved their neighbors as they loved themselves.

Instead of counting their profits over the deaths of created beings of God !!!
