This reads like an atheist's critique of Genesis.
Heathens are different critters.
While "heathen" has several meanings, the most common is "an unconverted member of a people or nation that does not recognize the God of the Bible."
In other words, a follower of the old, pre-christian ways. A pagan.
As a pagan, my issue with the Abrahamic creation myth is not that it is illogical or unscientific - religion describes illogical realms, and gets in trouble when applied to the logical and scientific. I object to it because the Abrahamic mythos contains the seeds of authoritarianism and patriarchy, judgement, condemnation and punishment that bring so much ill to the world.
