GOP mocks Obama's peace prize, Russians praise it »
Posted By kellekrapache128 2 months, 2 weeks ago in NewsWASHINGTON (AP) -- While Russia's president congratulated President Barack Obama for winning the Nobel Peace Prize, Republicans see the award as so outrageous that they're using it to raise campaign money.
Obama won the prize "for awesomeness," says the mocking GOP fundraising letter. Obama's honor shows "how meaningless a once honorable and respected award has become," says the letter, signed by Michael S. Steele, chairman of the Republican National Committee.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev had a different view. He said the award will encourage further U.S.-Russian cooperation.
"I hope this decision would serve as an additional incentive for our common work to form a new climate in world politics and promote initiatives which are fundamentally important for global security," Medvedev said in a letter to Obama.

The GOP mist be pi§$ed. After 8 years of war mongering under Bush along comes an honest president who refuses to start a war just because the special interests want it. And now on top of it all the new president wins a Nobel prize for peace.

To be blunt, Endoscopy, you and your sick friends need to, umm, get a life. Nothing our President does, proposes, or enacts will satisfy your narrow myopic minds. His selection to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize merely adds fuel to the hate generated by your Faux blues mouthpieces.

He has reached out for republican cooperation and support only to be rebuffed at each invite. Clearly his hoped-for support will never become reality. It's time the President abandoned this tact and move on with his program with or without republican support. He's never, never going to get support from the republican side. It's time for you and your ilk to make a choice. Get on board with an eye to the future or be left at the station with your reactionary, 'hope-Obama-fails' dream. -

Well Obama won this Nobel Prize mainly because he being a oppressed community in the United States able to overcome the odds to win the presidency. Even though he may not be able to do much in a country of war mongers and the congress is controlled by the Zionists; the world regards him as a person who has some great potentials to make the world a better place. If the people who supported him stand by him then he will not be distracted or pressured into take the war mongering and regime changing and name calling attitude towards any country. Even the opponents of America have some positive view on him. It is a shame for the Americans to despise him for everything he does. In my opinion the entire America should celebrate this event and for he being chosen because it's the country that is being honored. His home town celebrated when they heard the news but his own country that he loves to serve is insulting and abusing him.
