Obama White House Tells Fox to Take a Hike »
Posted By Progressive 1 month, 1 week ago in Political NewsFox News Channel has pulled record numbers of viewers this year as it's ratcheted up its fury at the Obama administration, and the president's team has had enough.
The White House communications director, Anita Dunn, tells the New York Times that Fox is "undertaking a war against Barack Obama," and that the administration no longer treats Fox the same as "legitimate news organizations."

I'm surprised that the Right Wing on Propeller is acting so petulantly about this story.
Reply
After all ... they heap praise on their favorite 'Talking Head's' ... when they ignore Political Correctness.
It's being 'politically correct' ... to claim that FOX is somehow 'Objective' ... when every one of their news shows spews rage and hatred towards a freely elected president.
I mean, come on ... FOX ... a NEWS organization actually ORGANIZED protests against Obama!
It's politically correct to claim FOX is a news gatherer/reporter organization.
I ... for one ... appreciate calling it like it is.

He is all worried about political correctness of the opposition. But just look at his diatribe a while back.

Do you know why they're called 'Red States'?

And he wonders why I refer to him as the morally vacant one. That is a good example of his hate filled ranting. Morals left out and a vacant mind that is refilled with moveon.org sentiments.

He's running into some headwinds on his Leveraged Buyout of the American Economy and his "Mea Culpa Pander Tour". The left has tried to silence dissent by widely labeling that dissent as racist. That tack, fomented from within Rahm's A-List Conference Calls, totally failed the sniff test. So now the White House, along with its A-Listers, is ratcheting up their direct frontal assault on Fox, the only major news organization that openly questions the direction the current administration is taking the country.-

Nope they were pretty specific about what couold be considered racist.
For example President Carter recently said:
""When a radical fringe element of demonstrators and others begin to attack the president of the United States as an animal or as a reincarnation of Adolf Hitler or when they wave signs in the air that said we should have buried Obama with Kennedy, those kinds of things are beyond the bounds,"
"I think people who are guilty of that kind of personal attack against Obama have been influenced to a major degree by a belief that he should not be president because he happens to be African American.
"It's a racist attitude, and my hope is and my expectation is that in the future both Democratic leaders and Republican leaders will take the initiative in condemning that kind of unprecedented attack on the president of the United States," Carter said. -

If the Obama bin Laden administration "no longer treats Fox the same as "legitimate news organization" then they have made a grave error. FOX isn't like the rest of the nazi liberal media. They tell it like it is. The left media is way too arrogant and too dense to understand this. The administration should be careful. FOX has been taking out Obama bin Laden's czars one by one. Watch out.

You constantly say Nazi liberal.
That term is insulting to all WWII vets who know that the Nazis were fascist and the only Americans to initially support them (monetarily and politically) were CONSERVATIVES,

They all agreed, of course that Communism was a threat to their wealth. They chose protecting their business interests ahead of their country. What;'s your excuse? -

So when Obama loses in 2012, I'm talking hypothetically, and a Republican wins the White House, does that mean they can dump ABC, NBC, CBS and that old witch Helen Thomas? Again, if all things are equal, the mainstream media was never friendly to Bush.

It wasn't untill years of failure, death, an lost treasure in the US caused Iraq Civil war tghat the press began asking question. Too little too late.

As a British person, who has just returned from a holiday in Spain,it was quite interesting to hear the comments of ordinary people in that country and of comments from the international news-channels available to the residents of that country, regarding the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to Your president.
Reply
It appears that the vast majority of people were:although suprised that it was awarded so soon;pleased that it was given to a man who has decided to re-engage with the rest of the world, instead of inciting hatred by adopting the'you're either with us,or against us mentality proferred by the Bush/Cheney regime of the previous eight or so years. One commentator, noted that 'America is back on the international stage from which it withdrew under President Bush.'It is amazing reading the comments from the mainly right of centre American media that America's rising international respect across various political spectra is something bad?-

You are watching the rabid, right wing hate machine at work. Their attitude for media is, if it is not spouting hate against Obama, then it is left wing. The more the world likes and respects what Obama is trying to do, the more vocal the hate machine becomes, it is quite fascinating to see these people work against their own country.

Your previous president was widely regarded as an intellectual derelict, who only acted in the interests of the powerful corporations and rich.powerful individuals ,at the expense of the majority of Americans and the rest of the world. It is good that there are intelligent thoughtful Americans who realise that the world does not belong to them and that the very many problems of the world are better solved by engaging in debate rather than going down the attack-route in the first instance.

One of the biggest problems in America,is that certain sections of your society only watch highly propagandised channels such as Fox and actually believe that it is news,as opposed to the mouth piece of the mega -rich media-mogul Rupert Murdoch who is only acting in his own own interests and certainly not in America's interests.Fortunately, most of the world see Fox news as a joke channel, not worthy of serious consideration, the worry is,that there appear to be a number of people who think it is a 'news' channel,to their own detriment. They really need to travel/or look at international news as well,to get a wider perspective on the world in which we all have to get by. -

If this was a real war between Fox News and the Obama Administration, you would be hearing reports about the September 8th and October 5th “Obama KBC and Eligibility Hearings’ in Santa Ana, California.
Reply
Unfortunately, the only one covering this story happens to be a ‘birther’ as well as a ‘truther’. (Both derogatory terms meant to ridicule facts and conspiracy theories alike.) An unfortunate coincidence, since one of these beliefs is clearly on the lunatic fringe.
Fox News has been touting their respect for the U.S. Constitution and that is what is really making Obama, his ‘true believers’ and ‘fellow travelers’ nervous. Imagine this:
What if Fox News reported that a Citizen Grand Jury has found Obama guilty of TREASON!? (First time for a sitting President of the United States)
What if they reported that Major Cook had his case against Obama’s eligibility to issue orders as Commander in Chief dismissed by order of this administration?
What if they reported that Obama’s Kenyan Birth Certificate has been entered into evidence, complete with an affidavit from the man that obtained it in Mombassa?
What if they reported that Judge David O. Carter has officially ordered a date certain for a jury trial on Obama’s eligibility as a Natural Born Citizen?
What if they reported that Nancy Pelosi illegally submitted forty-nine (49) signed and notarized versions of Obama’s Certification of Nomination and only one (1) proper one to the State of Hawaii?
What if they reported that Obama’s very first ‘Presidential Executive Order’ was to seal up all of his records? (Including birth certificate, college and health records.)
What if they reported on his various secret agreements with Islamic radical regimes around the world? (Starting with his cousin Odinga and the Muslims of Kenya and Somalia; as well as Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, to name a few.)
Yes, I think a war with Fox News would look quite different.
Instead, Fox News ha gone way out of their way to be respectful to the Office of the President, to play it ‘fair and balanced’ by presenting both sides of every issue - and they have chosen, right or wrong – to ignore the Constitutional and Birth Certificate stories.
The Obama administration, by contrast has chosen to embrace deception, manipulation and outright lies. (With CNN, MSNBC, and the rest of the main-stream media acting as cheer leaders and looking the other way.)
Maybe if Fox News had more respect for their viewers than they have for the unworthy and questionable ‘occupier’ of the White House, they would report everything. Maybe they need to remember that respect is not an automatic right and must be earned, even by the President of the United States. What ever happened to “we report, you decide”? -

You all can try to convince folks that fox news is bad, bad, bad, but as long as their viewership continues to rise and the other "liberal" networks/newspapers continue to fall, the public will have spoken! You may not like it, but it is the "truth".
Reply
One thing ignored here is the skepticism, or lack thereof, of the current crop of news people. Too many reporters fail to grill politicians with whom they are ideologically aligned about the negatives of legislation/policies. They ask puffball questions instead that are designed to elicit responses that fall in line with their ideology.
This is what is turning off viewers/readers from the liberal media. The vast majority of americans understand that human contrivances are doomed to be flawed. Instead of looking for these flaws, too many reporters just go along with the party line. Most americans understand that good intentions just doesn't warrant ignoring the problems that WILL occur in any government bureaucracy.
When was the last time oberman or maddow really grilled liberal politicians night after night about flaws in any of the recent bailouts, stimulus, health care legislation, or other government policies? I watch periodically, but never see skepticism applied to any liberal contrivance sufficient to warrant a change. It's like if the intention is good, then don't deal with the negatives. This turns people off because they KNOW the negatives of any law, policy, or initiative will impact them in some way and want to know how.
The news job should be to uncover these negatives and expose them so they don't come as a surprise. Simply being a lap dog just isn't going to support the enterprises in the long term. If you look closely at the networks, that is what you're going to see. -

He's working on your behalf; unless, of course, you believe you deserve to be humiliated, financially raped, and a servant to the elite because, they've convinced you that you don't have a brain and must depend on them to tell you when to jump and how high.
