Fox News Channel has pulled record numbers of viewers this year as it's ratcheted up its fury at the Obama administration, and the president's team has had enough.

The White House communications director, Anita Dunn, tells the New York Times that Fox is "undertaking a war against Barack Obama," and that the administration no longer treats Fox the same as "legitimate news organizations."

FOX News will be around long after 0bama is gone. Deal with it.

I'm surprised that the Right Wing on Propeller is acting so petulantly about this story.

After all ... they heap praise on their favorite 'Talking Head's' ... when they ignore Political Correctness.

It's being 'politically correct' ... to claim that FOX is somehow 'Objective' ... when every one of their news shows spews rage and hatred towards a freely elected president.

I mean, come on ... FOX ... a NEWS organization actually ORGANIZED protests against Obama!

It's politically correct to claim FOX is a news gatherer/reporter organization.

I ... for one ... appreciate calling it like it is.

I think maybe you want to take a look at talking points with O'Reily on the day Obama won the peace prize. Maybe you will look at Fox a little different. Also Hannity's interview with M. Moore I found very polite.

By the way I very very impressed with Mike Moore for agreeing to go onto Fox. Something Obama will not do.

    Awwwwwwwwwww. Poor Barack!
He's running into some headwinds on his Leveraged Buyout of the American Economy and his "Mea Culpa Pander Tour". The left has tried to silence dissent by widely labeling that dissent as racist. That tack, fomented from within Rahm's A-List Conference Calls, totally failed the sniff test. So now the White House, along with its A-Listers, is ratcheting up their direct frontal assault on Fox, the only major news organization that openly questions the direction the current administration is taking the country.

If the Obama bin Laden administration "no longer treats Fox the same as "legitimate news organization" then they have made a grave error. FOX isn't like the rest of the nazi liberal media. They tell it like it is. The left media is way too arrogant and too dense to understand this. The administration should be careful. FOX has been taking out Obama bin Laden's czars one by one. Watch out.

"the administration no longer treats Fox the same as "legitimate news organizations.""

Republicans can learn a great deal from this. When we return to power, let's make sure we make the same type of decisions regarding those "news networks" we feel are biased.

So now including being racist if you disagree with Obama a News organization is now in "fury" when they point out problems with anything about Obama or his plans.

The radical liberals spewed very hateful things along with the MSM and that was just the TRUTH that liberals believe. Because anything other than their TRUTH is hateful and evil. It is just fine when liberals do it but when their Obamasiah is attacked nicer than they attacked Bush it is outrageous.

    SILLY LIBS!!!!

So when Obama loses in 2012, I'm talking hypothetically, and a Republican wins the White House, does that mean they can dump ABC, NBC, CBS and that old witch Helen Thomas? Again, if all things are equal, the mainstream media was never friendly to Bush.

I find it hard to believe that any new organization who did not worship Obama the way most of the media does would have any credibility with certain people anyway. So, no loss.

As far as your happiness, I'm surprised you aren't just thrilled to pieces that the overwhelming majority of the media does fawn over your messiah. Just one that doesn't and it spoils everything else for you? OK, well....that's your choice.

Maybe Fox won't be allowed into news conferences anymore. Of course, I guess that won't matter much. They get their news feed from hotair.com.

the funny thing is that when fox pulls in "record numbers" there viewership is still far below what any of the Big 3 nightly newscasts get.

during his best week ever beck only had an average of 480,000 viewers per night.

        yes. thats it.

spongebob squarepants kicks the crap out of beck.

so, in reality, very very few people are turning to fox, and they are preaching to a very small, fringe choir.

There is nothing fair and balanced about Fox Noise. No news, just far rightwing talking points. Can anybody state any pro Obama reporting from any of the of Fox's anchors or commentators. When they do then they will be fair and balanced. Until then they will be the rightwing hate messengers they are.

As a British person, who has just returned from a holiday in Spain,it was quite interesting to hear the comments of ordinary people in that country and of comments from the international news-channels available to the residents of that country, regarding the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to Your president.
It appears that the vast majority of people were:although suprised that it was awarded so soon;pleased that it was given to a man who has decided to re-engage with the rest of the world, instead of inciting hatred by adopting the'you're either with us,or against us mentality proferred by the Bush/Cheney regime of the previous eight or so years. One commentator, noted that 'America is back on the international stage from which it withdrew under President Bush.'It is amazing reading the comments from the mainly right of centre American media that America's rising international respect across various political spectra is something bad?

Your previous president was widely regarded as an intellectual derelict, who only acted in the interests of the powerful corporations and rich.powerful individuals ,at the expense of the majority of Americans and the rest of the world. It is good that there are intelligent thoughtful Americans who realise that the world does not belong to them and that the very many problems of the world are better solved by engaging in debate rather than going down the attack-route in the first instance.
One of the biggest problems in America,is that certain sections of your society only watch highly propagandised channels such as Fox and actually believe that it is news,as opposed to the mouth piece of the mega -rich media-mogul Rupert Murdoch who is only acting in his own own interests and certainly not in America's interests.Fortunately, most of the world see Fox news as a joke channel, not worthy of serious consideration, the worry is,that there appear to be a number of people who think it is a 'news' channel,to their own detriment. They really need to travel/or look at international news as well,to get a wider perspective on the world in which we all have to get by.

Why should Obama go on a channel where they openly call for his death and the death of other political figures?

Fox is rooting against America at every turn. Their racism and hatred is growing like a cancer. All this treasonous talk like secession and assassination against a President who WON a just election (unlike Bush).

This hatred is so ugly. Such a bunch of sore losers, a really sad group of people.

You all can try to convince folks that fox news is bad, bad, bad, but as long as their viewership continues to rise and the other "liberal" networks/newspapers continue to fall, the public will have spoken! You may not like it, but it is the "truth".

One thing ignored here is the skepticism, or lack thereof, of the current crop of news people. Too many reporters fail to grill politicians with whom they are ideologically aligned about the negatives of legislation/policies. They ask puffball questions instead that are designed to elicit responses that fall in line with their ideology.

This is what is turning off viewers/readers from the liberal media. The vast majority of americans understand that human contrivances are doomed to be flawed. Instead of looking for these flaws, too many reporters just go along with the party line. Most americans understand that good intentions just doesn't warrant ignoring the problems that WILL occur in any government bureaucracy.

When was the last time oberman or maddow really grilled liberal politicians night after night about flaws in any of the recent bailouts, stimulus, health care legislation, or other government policies? I watch periodically, but never see skepticism applied to any liberal contrivance sufficient to warrant a change. It's like if the intention is good, then don't deal with the negatives. This turns people off because they KNOW the negatives of any law, policy, or initiative will impact them in some way and want to know how.

The news job should be to uncover these negatives and expose them so they don't come as a surprise. Simply being a lap dog just isn't going to support the enterprises in the long term. If you look closely at the networks, that is what you're going to see.

Thank God Obama is smart enought to see what FOX truly is. You nut-cases really should listen to him. He's working on your behalf; unless, of course, you believe you deserve to be humiliated, financially raped, and a servant to the elite because, they've convinced you that you don't have a brain and must depend on them to tell you when to jump and how high. Sad, indeed!
