There's another story floating around Propeller about the Players Union slamming Rush's bid to purchase into the St. Louis Rams ...
Reply
This story helps give some reasons why they believe that.
After reading the TEN QUOTES ... there shouldn't be any doubt that these players have serious reservations.
After reading the TEN QUOTES ... you might also become aware of just how racist this spokesperson for Modern Republicanism really is.
And as I always say ... Racism can only flourish is a petrie dish of Moral Vacancy.

FTA:
"6. The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies.
Now Limbaugh is saying that an organization with a storied tradition of representing the positive black people for change in their communities are criminals and rioters. An organization that has been represented by intelligent professional African Americans, that has played a part in the Civil Rights movement and continues to be an intelligent, concerned voice for the African American community is degraded to common criminals. There you go Rush. Keep racism alive!!!!
7. They’re 12 percent of the population. Who the hell cares?
Decent human beings care Rush. Someone out of that 12% may just become President of the United States. Not caring about black people? Even George Bush wouldn’t admit to that.
8. Take that bone out of your nose and call me back(to an African American female caller).
Okay Rush that’s classy. The old African bone in the nose stereotype. Wasn’t funny when the racist white school kids called the black kids that and it’s definitely not funny when a grown man with audience of millions of easily influenced dittoheads says it either.
9. I think the media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well. They’re interested in black coaches and black quarterbacks doing well. I think there’s a little hope invested in McNabb and he got a lot of credit for the performance of his team that he really didn’t deserve.
I wasn’t super offended by this, the whole black quarterback/coach thing has been going on for years in sports, but the quote was so offensive that Retired General Wesley Clarke said:
There can be no excuse for such statements. Mr. Limbaugh has the right to say whatever he wants, but ABC and ESPN have no obligation to sponsor such hateful and ignorant speech. Mr. Limbaugh should be fired immediately.
When a respected, retired general condemns the statement of a sportscaster, you know he’s gone too far."
Yep !!!
We have a winner in the as*hole, sweepstakes !!!
Gush Limpaw !!!!
What truly, truly sickens me, is that many black soldiers died or were terribly mutilated and wounded for the right of this jerk to spout his insanity in the name of entertainment.
Rush !!!! Where the hell were you when they answered the call and stood tall for America ????
You fat, bloated, Fascist, piece of sewer flotsam !!!!!!
Eat your lost soul and live in sorrow for eterrnity, you sorry son of the devil !!!!!! -

Your moral vacancy is doing great again. Rush in on 3 hours a day 5 days a week. So all you have to do is take snippets out of his show and turn them into something they are not. About 20% of his show is humor and that is a great place to get these comments. I love the rant about ‘Barack the Magic Negro’ because it came out of an article in the L.A. Times columnist, David Ehrenstein. a black commentator. Do you know what a "magic Negroe" is? A term used by critics of pop culture to describe certain benevolent African-American characters. So this is an insult???? Then halfrican is an insult? His mother is white. Should he have used the old term mulatto? Why is a person who is half or less black always referred to as black? That to me is racist. I have two multi racial kids I have adopted. Why are they considered black when they are less than half black?

Goppy, I have to personally thank you for posting this story. This is a brilliant expose on continuing racism in this country. These people that blast this crud across the airways should not have that opportunity. The fact they do shows that Racism is not only alive , but thrives in America. That's really why we have Rev. Wright's who speak out against white injustice. They see it, they live it, and they feel it. It's a problem America to this day hasn't effectively dealt with.

'Reminds me of the most hideous comment I ever heard Rush Limbaugh (or anyone) broadcast on any media...
Reply
The day that Freddie Mercury, the lead singer for the group "Queen", died of AIDS, Rush Limbaugh played Queen's hit song "Another One Bites the Dust". While the song was playing, Rush was laughing hysterically while proclaiming that the song was a "self-fulfilling prophecy".
Rush is a poor excuse for a human being. He should not be allowed to breath the same air as decent folks, let alone enjoy the benefits of living in a decent society.

This one is also pretty telling of the utter Moral Vacancy of the Right ... their spokesperson says this ... Number Seven.
Reply
They’re 12 percent of the population. Who the hell cares?
This is as crass as any comment I guess. But who can pick?
The Modern Right is DEFINED by how crass they've become.
20,000 Americans die each year as a direct result of not having access to Health Insurance ... Who the hell cares?
45 MILLION Americans will at some time this year be without Health Insurance? Who the hell cares?
Insurance companies make profits by excising patients from their rolls when they make a claim? Who the hell cares?
Saxby Chambliss, draft dodger, calls Max Cleland, wounded Vietnam Veteran a TRAITOR? Who the hell cares?
Glenn Beck calls our President of the United States a RACIST? Who the hell cares?
Ann Coulter, speaking of Lincoln Chaffee, "They shot the wrong Lincoln Who the hell cares?
Sean Hannity says: This is the moment to say that there are things in life worth fighting and dying for and one of 'em is making sure Nancy Pelosi [D-CA] doesn't become the speaker." Who the hell cares?
The answer to the question ... Who the hell cares? SHOULD be ... PATRIOTIC AMERICANS SHOULD CARE.
Because the Modern Republican Movement has become a petrie dish of retched Moral Vacancy from top to bottom.

I consider myself a patriotic american, and I read through the comments of the article. I was surprised how few of the comments were actually racist, meaning, they even touched on race. Here is one of the comments, which I will address:
Reply
They’re 12 percent of the population. Who the hell cares?
If you are in the minority, your job is to create a coalition which becomes the majority. If you cater to every minority, you will govern no one.
Let's try another example.
If 88% of the people want Obama's Health Care Reform, then who cares what the other 12% want? Wouldn't you agree? (I am attempting to use an issue which you might be able to relate with).
So, in the attempt to attack Rush Limbaugh, I saw this: A lot of quotes...some which didn't even sound racist, others which were clearly out of context.
I recall in 2008, Bill Clinton said the Obama people pulled the race card on him. It's increasingly becoming a trend in the liberal wing of the Democrat party to use racism charges as a wedge to get what they want.
The only thing worse than being a racist is falsely accusing someone of being a racist, especially for a political agenda.
I think that's why most people consider themselves conversatives. Typically, a conservative empowers himself and others; meanwhile liberalism imposes itself on everyone...-

"The point I was making was not that my grandmother harbors any racial animosity, but that she is a typical white person. If she sees somebody on the street that she doesn't know - there's a reaction in her that's been bred into our experiences that don't go away and sometimes come out in the wrong way and that's just the nature of race in our society. We have to break through it. What makes me optimistic is you see each generation feeling less like that. And that's pretty powerful stuff"
Do you really disagree with this premise? Of course it doesn't just involve whites views of blacks but the way all races perceive others as different. We are all quite capable of racism it is when it is actually practiced that there is a problem. I had a virulent racist for a great grandmother but we understood that she was a product of the world she was raised in. Learned more from her about the issue of race than probably anyone since. She was wrong, nobody had to tell us that. We just knew inately that we never wanted to grow up thinking that way.
I would say the same for El Rushbo and his views on race which should be championed by none. Call it a misunderstanding, say he is just an entertainer. Those are just excuses for his intolerance.

Im curious how many straws will you ber grasping at? You can ciontinue your attempt at showing Mush Limpaw isnt a racist. THe workld right now is looking at the right in America as a series of wacks and loons, birthers, socialism is on the horizon and armed insurrection to save us from change. Add to that the posts you;re making claiming racists statements arent. Do you truly wonder why the world looks at the right as a bunch of loons and wacks?

Truly pathetic. Instead of addressing Rush's racism he goes looking for other examples. It's not that we didn't already know he was misguided. I mean quoting Byrd from 1944, sheesh! It's appalling language but how does it in anyway justify such thinking in the modern world?
Reply
Should we go back and pull quotes from Strom, Lott, Wallace, Helms, Maddux and the like? Or should we generalize in such a way as to say those who left the Democrats in the 60's to become Republicans did so for almost exclusively racist reasons? -

From the bio: "Limbaugh complied after his desperate wife agreed to never reveal the true nature of Rush's sexual perversion."
Reply
Uh, gayness isn't a perversion. You don't defame someone by calling her or him gay. For hypocrisy on that score, yes, that's a failing--but the bio uses L.'s gayness as "proof" of his unsuitability as a human.
So it is, in my opinion, worthless.

Rush is merely the physical manifestation of the good ol' boy network that chapped your ass in college and put GWB in the White House. They are ****** that their cigar-chomping rants are now taboo in the mainstream, yet happy that they are still accepted in their special redneck saloons.

Hi there, everybody. Just dropped in for a few minutes to see how the thread evolved.
Reply
Hilarious!
Liberals, how funny you are today, in your efforts to support the list 10 quotes, none which have been substantiated, just to attack a radio talk show host.
The sad part is that I provided a series of quotes, which I substantiated. 3-4 hours later, none of you are willing to prove the quotes were true!
Obviously, in a debate, you wouldn't even make it through the door. Using a quote, provided by a third party, without citation, is anecdotal. It doesn't stand in newspapers, which is why this story comes from some silly hate rush website.
As a conservative, let me give you some advice. Do some research. Don't blindly list a story that has no bearing or semblance to true journalism. Empower yourself: This is the nature of conservatism.
Or you can remain liberal and just try to impose your will on others by sheer blunt force...
(The only problem with that is that your support is dwindling at the moment).
Good luck!-
