Limbaugh Attacks The NFL as a Liberal and Racist Organization »
Posted By capj71 2 months, 2 weeks ago in NewsOn his radio show today, Rush Limbaugh took out his bitterness over not being able to become an owner of the St. Louis Rams on the NFL. Limbaugh said that he was demonized with false quotes so that the NFL could protect their, “outpost of racism and liberalism.” I hope Limbaugh realizes that 90% of the NFL’s political contributions go to Republicans, not Democrats.

He makes a living by spreading hate. I wouldn't want the KKK to own a team so why would I want limbaugh?

"They had to demonize me with false fake made up quotes to protect their precious little National Football League as an outpost of racism and liberalism, which is what it is.”"

As a Conservative, and recognizing that this quote was taken out of context, I would STILL have to ask Mr. Limbaugh what possible good can come of accusing the NFL of being "racist and liberal"? -

A great example of proof that money isn't the defining factor of success in America. You can make and have all the money you want in America, but if you use devisive, and mean spirited ways to get it no one will want to do business with you.

Limbaugh failed to learn that capitalism isn't just about he who has the most money wins.-

Actually, i'd have to agree. Your friend and mine Mr. L seems to be saying something like, as the article puts it, "I don't want to belong to your silly club anyway!" Sort of childish IMHO.

In a free market, which I'll assume for the moment NFL ownership is, the working principle is that the consumer makes an informed decision. Price/cost is obviously one of the criteria used; given the nature of our society it could hardly be otherwise. There are people, with whom I'd take issue, that assume that it's the only criterion. Dunno, maybe Rush is one of these. But I think that people evaluate all the impacts on their situation when they assent to something. Facetiously, how many times has a woman rejected even a "bargain" because she thinks it makes her b*tt look big?
My guess is that at least some of the NFL owners agree with some of Rush's political positions. But still there's obvously a complete lack of comfort; mostly I guess because of those nasty non-financial factors. Which in the end will translate into financial ones, reducing the value of their toys. There's a price for everything you do in this life; and they just don't want to pay it.

I have listened to this SOB enough that I can tell you his respect for any race other than his own is practically nill. Now I have to wonder how he can be so arrogant as to think he can fool us into believing HE is the victim.

I am very sensitive to racism. I have adopted two multi racial children. I have listened to Limbaugh many times and NEVER heard any racists comments unless it was in one of his "demonstrating the absurd by being absurd" talks. There he takes a liberal argument and changes the subject. If an argument is logical it does not matter the subject. Logicians just use symbols like A, B, C etc for the different ideas being argued. They then use the laws of logic to determine if the argument is flawed or not.

Rush taking the liberal argument and putting in the different topic makes the argument become absurd. All kinds of stupid comments come out at that time. That is one thing that drives liberals wild if they understand what he has done. Usually it goes right over their heads and they get a quote to make him look bad ignoring it is their own argument.

Good try Endoscopy. Are you trying to intellectualize Limbaugh's ignorant manipulation of the English language? Limabugh is a gifted BSer and those who think he is saying anything of substance are his victims. He is a salesman and an entertainer and his follwers have bought into what he is selling HIMSELF.
