When Stan Greenberg and fellow Democratic researchers launched a study of the conservative Republican world's reaction to President Obama, he figured they'd find ample evidence of racism. They didn't.

    FTA:
While the GOP base was feverishly opposed to Obama, it wasn't happy with its own party either. "Their negative opinions of the Republican Party were really startling," said Agne. "They're very dispirited about their own party."

The report concludes that the extreme GOP voters are not simply at the far end of a standard political continuum that runs left-center-right, but rather they stand fully apart.

The basic belief is that Obama -- a former community organizer who seemingly came from nowhere -- must have been propelled by some secret forces. This is no small segment of the population and represents almost one-in-five voters and nearly two-of-three self identified Republicans.

The other "basic belief," in my experience, is that O. is going to bring about socialist enslavement and financial Armageddon.

The paranoia level is really shocking!

Yes .. I agree that the Ideology is crazy. But I also believe that some are simply racist.

For instance, does anyone think that a representative from SOUTH CAROLINA ... would have yelled out 'YOU LIE' ... to a white president?

    Plus, there's RTHTGakaRoland

Some Right Wing Members of Propeller believe their Ideology has it's roots in Ayn Rand. You see some members extoll the virtues of "Objectivism" pretty regularly.

There a story right now on Propeller about it.

These are just Limbots. Rush said "I hope he fails" and now the ditto heads are lining up with predictable obedience. This is what is referred to as a cult. As with most cults, their members can't be reasoned with. Once they have sacrificed their autonomy and independence to the likes of Limbaugh and Beck, they are on auto pilot.

No doubt the Democrat (what an unbiased group) "researchers" didn't "figure" they'd find "evidence" of "racism"; they wanted desperately to "prove" Conservatives were racist. Unsurprisingly, they failed to do so. So they came up with a different charge. Never anything positive. I believe what Conservatives can learn from this is fairly straightforward and doesn't need to be spelled out.

If they were biased, they would have found rascism. As it is, they said they didn't. Unlike fox "news" that would just make things up.

I think the racism is being stuffed because it would loose all credibility for their political aspirations.

If any working person, Democrat or Republican, is happy with their party, they are either ignorant or insane.

We've been sold out, and it was a bipartisan effort. Wake up.

Well, cons are probably going to take it as rather
a weak compliment or a clever insult; but I agree.

        Most conservatives are not racists.
Most serious republicans are not racists.

        From the report:

"And yet remarkably, these voters had virtually nothing positive to say about the Republican
Party. They see their own party as weak, old, and out of touch. They feel it has lost sight of
conservative values and conservative voters and is in desperate need of new leadership. They
identified a clear disconnect between ‘the people’ and ‘the politicians,’ which poses a growing
threat to the party’s ability to challenge Democratic control in Washington."

Sound like a bunch of cranks and malcontents to me.

"The lionization of Ronald Reagan in these groups was as
strong as we have seen for any political figure, as was the desperate desire for a new Reaganesque
figure to lead them out of their current wilderness."

How about Tony Dow, Jerry Mathers, or Leave it to Beaver? They're kinda stuck there in Pleasantville anyway.

It has just been reported that Congress is raiding the money budgeted to support our military, to date taking $2.6 BILLION. They are using the funds set aside for our military in order to pay for their pet PORK projects, and impress their constituents in order to gain re-election. While Obama dithers about whether or not to give his handpicked General what he needs to do the job he has been ordered to do, Congress raids the military piggybank. This is not only despicable, it is COLD BLOODED MURDER.

Believing Obama was propelled by some secret forces is bizarre ideology?

Bizarre is not thinking twice about the fact that 42 of our last 43 presidents were all related. It's a bizarre ideology to believe in the statistically impossible coincidence theory that we picked him out of the blue.
