Thanks, DR. I met Aldo only once, but corresponding with him and (especially) reading his books over many years did make him a real presence in my life. I'll miss him.

  i think there's a real dearth of serious public intellectual discourse these days, in america, at least. maybe our collective attention span has grown too short.
