Calling the eight year war in Afghanistan "adrift," White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel explained on Sunday that the Obama administration considers sending more troops now to be "reckless" without a "credible" election result and a regime ready to begin securing the country.

My Fellow Americans: Where would this Country be without good old White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel? Probably on the Road to Recovery. Probably on Better Terms with Israel Our Once Loyal Friend. Probably Supporting Our Troops or Pulling Them Out to keep them from getting Slaughtered. How many more Months are necessary for He and this Weak Administration to Figure Out a Way to Protect and Support Our Troops.

Yes, Rahm, The "War in Afghanistan is Adrift"? I wonder Why. Could it be because you have more important things to do like, Universal Death Care, or Cap and Trade, (Con Man), Meetings, or Simply Tax and Spend all Our Money Foolishly? Yes, Mister Emanuel, you always have good news for us. Thanks for looking out for our Boys and Girls in War Country.

Wouldn't it be nice if you were over there and they were over here doing the thinking. You Know, just to make sure every single decision they made would be Politically Correct.

    O. sure chose a group of real winners to send this Nation back into the Dark Ages. A couple more years of these lame Policies and we will be bordering on the Crow-Magnum years. Well, next time you vote try to make some choices that are a lot more sensible. Remember, the next time you hear a big Boom, it may be your last. The Real American

A political hack knows more than the Generals who are the experts. Where is head at. Or is he running up the trial balloon for Obama.

Icantwait makes me think of Bush putting our troops in that hornets' nest of Iraq without enough troops and not knowing who's the friend and who's the enemy. What a sad, sad case of leadership.

I think we should stay in Afghanistan and add troops, but as I learned in the military, leaders have all the time they need to make decisions and we can't make them hurry up. Obama has access to information and he'll make his own decision.

As far as recovery goes, the stock market's doing o.k. and the recession is supposedly over. It's a lot better than the mess left by Mr. Bush and his administration. What a travesty those eight years were.

We waited, Icantwait, so I guess you can too...

I too think we need to stay in Afghanistan and finish what we started out to do. It is refreshing to have a Leader that is willing to weigh the option of strageties and is taking the time to make a proper decission. Unlike the last president that demand that we HURRY HURRY HURRY! Attack Iraq before Iraq attacks us with their huge piles of WMDs. I guees you cons expect Obama to drop all domestic issues and become a warmongering pychopath like the previous president.

I think if Obama dropped a lot of his domestic policies America might recover faster.About the stock market we're in a bear market, and can't sustain any real growth until people go back to work, and produce. In the last fifty years the market always does well in times of high unemployment. So I suggest Obama shut off the engine, and drift for a while, it can't as bad as going full throttle in the wrong direction.

Sageparadox: Have you forgotten that the Afghanistan war was the one that YOUR president wanted all along? Now that he has it, he doesn't know what to do with it! Actually, he doesn't know what to do about anything, EXCEPT keep himself in the daily news. He loves to talk, but only says words that mean NOTHING! Why can't he go back and listen to all the things he promised and at least say he really didn't mean them and APOLOGIZE for lieing? He, in my opinion, will never admit to saying anything wrong or DOING anything wrong. He just omits any thought of that and continues with his words that mean NOTHING!

Thank you Skeptic.A very few democrats ignored the talking points of their party which was hate Bush, morning, noon, and night. They thought we should have put more troops into Iraq,me to.But now when the general on the ground in Afghanistan, again ask for more troops, again I concur, but not Obama's base they think he has plenty of time for trivialities, not jobs, not boots on the ground in a war.Instead busy trying to fufill a long time dream of destroying health care for countless millions, and putting his signature on a universal health care bill, single payer if you will.
