    FTA:
There is still time to save this great nation, but the clock is ticking. The pace of the socialist takeover is accelerating. The time for complacency and standing on the sidelines is gone. Richard Nixon resigned and Bill Clinton was impeached for far less.

That I agree with. I rather disagree with the theme used in this article is "Socialists have declared jihad..."; it seems more surreptitious than a blatent declaration, although it's collectivist intent is clear to those who understand anything about using the Force of government to eliminate our right to free choice, and indeed, our right to life itself.

I guess the DOW over 10K is just another sign of this socialist takeover of the free market...

I wonder how many folks listened to Hannity and followed suit, when he told his radio audience how he had pulled all of his investments out of the stock market after Obama was sworn in. I hope lots.

      change maybe.

      treason? get f-n real.

      he was democratically elected.

the only ones committing treason are the ones trying to de-legitimize obama's rightful place as our president.

Impeachment would be the worst thing possible.
We need to hang in there for the 2010 election.

Do you really want Biden as president, with Pelosi right behind him????

It's been quite a while since we've had the privilege of seeing an article from canadafreepress. It's been so long I thought PC, Tasi and the far right wingnuts had lost one of their trusted sources of journalistic crap. Unfortunately it's still around and foul as ever.

The author of this article just about blew it in his first comment when he showed his colors with his comment on a common language, only thing he forgot there was to mention a common race. Then he goes on about the stimulus, which if he had taken a look the first bailouts started under Bush for this particular event, then there's the comment on the US dollar, it and the American economy has been in the dumps for more than the last 9 months.
I guess I could make a comment on every point that he has presented, but what purpose would it serve, every point that he presented has been going on for years and now he's getting concerned because it's the other guys that are in power.
What drives me crazy is people who say they are concerned with the direction the country is going but only choose to look at the picture from one side.

          This isn't political commentary;
          - it's lack of character masking as opposition.

Ok, list here for what is wrong with this article:
              1. What would the Canadian Free Press care about USA politics aside from proximity and trade issues? Canadians can't vote here.
              2. What was the extra script window that opened up and tried to execute something when I went to the article? Is this a trojan site? (I run Mac OS so it didn't do anything that I can tell at least so far.)
              3. What type of bait is this anyway? The article is sculpted inflammation for anyone on either side of this. This is propaganda with no veil and nothing more.
If you have a Windows based machine I would be worried about going to this site if I were you. Beyond that it's not wroth going to anyway, just the same that has been said ad nauseum by those of the Republican Church anyway; nothing new, move along.

Why don't you ask the Canadians on here who frequently comment on US Politics.

                This isn't politics, its idiocy.

Free money to banks and large corporations isn't socialism. Kleptocracy, but not socialism.

When those institutions are nationalized and operated in the interests of working people - feel free to scream "socialism."

                  Huh? Treason? Really?

I love how you cons love to throw around treason, yet you look at Bush, which was the greatest Traitor the US has ever seen.

Treason is a crime only in time of war.

Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution:

                  1. Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.

                  2. The Congress shall have power to declare the punishment of treason, but no attainder of treason shall work corruption of blood, or forfeiture except during the life of the person attained.

                  Article II, Sect. 4

The president, vice-president and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.
