Fox News: A 24/7 Political Operation »
Posted By scott4261 1 month, 2 weeks ago in Political NewsFox News has responded to White House criticisms of its network by claiming that while its "editorial" programs are filled with "vibrant opinion," its news hours are straight and objective. However, Fox News' purportedly straight news programs echo its "editorial" programs: Media Matters for America has compiled a non-exhaustive list -- from this year alone -- documenting how Fox's news programming features smears, falsehoods, doctored and deceptive editing, and GOP talking points.

It never ceases to amaze me how otherwise intelligent people 'buy into" the crap and lies that Fox spews out. At least on MSNBC shows like Olbermann and Maddow, they tie their comments to facts and quote those facts while over at Fox, it's just made up crap all day long.

I think a better jingle for Fox would be "Balanced News With a Decidedly Conservative Streak."

That would not only be honest and accurate, it would be light years ahead of the candor offered by any other news organization in America. Bar NONE. -

True, but is it behaviour befitting the White House? That's my question. I'm still undecided. Part of me is glad the administration has the cajones to call Fox out on their obvious bias, but part of me worries that it further legitimizes Fox in the eyes of their audience and further polarizes the nation.

What has been lost in this bru-ha-ha has been how the so-called mainstream 'Liberal Media' has jumped up to defend Fox.

How dare a network not get in line with the all the others and have no journalistic integrity? Please to say MSNBC has any objective reporting is just laughable. Don't the others realize if they say anything against the administration they are next on the list?
