Limbaugh Compares NYT Reporter to 'Jihad Guys' »
Posted By Progressive 1 month, 1 week ago in Political NewsRush Limbaugh really outdid himself yesterday, comparing New York Times environmental reporter Andy Revkin to a terrorist and urging him to commit suicide.
Revkin was singled out over a recent column in which he argued that contraceptives are a cheap pollution-curbing measure, since population growth is linked to global warming. But if humanity’s so bad, Limbaugh reasons, “why don’t you just go kill yourself and help the planet by dying?” Revkin says Limbaugh’s rant “might be funny, in a sad way,” if the hate mail wasn’t already pouring in—and if there weren’t millions of women who want, but can’t get, contraceptives.

A reminder it is your ilk that has much more in common with jihadists. No separation of church and state, control of women and their bodies, reliance on ancient dogma and rigid, uncompromising thinking. And of course the idea that slaughter can bring about change. These are all conservative values and would also match the values of the average jihadist.

As for Rush's comment. A reminder he is an entertainer. This is his idea of a joke. This is the kind of garbage his listeners apparently do find amusing. Nothing surprising here. -

"Most nazi liberals remind me of jihadists."

As a Conservative, I have to ask why you use the phrase "nazi liberals". I don't believe it's accurate and would greatly appreciate if you would help me understand why you use it.
Thank you. -

The Nazi's were not liberals. Nazi's are extreme right wingers. they believe they were a superior race who were entitled to take whatever land they wanted and put their own rules in place. And they claimed that everything they did was legal.

“No separation of church and state”
Reply
Actually the constitution says that the federal Government can not establish a ‘national’ religion or stop people from exercising their right to their religious beliefs. No where in the constitution does it mention separation of church and state as in (no mention of religion or not seeing religious symbols in public places.
“control of women and their bodies”
Actually it’s not about controlling women or their bodies, it’s about protecting innocents yet unborn that have done nothing more than be conceived and are at the mercy of their mothers whims to decide whether they deserve the death penalty. Sure if the child is a threat to the mothers life, or the product of rape I have a different take on it, but for the most part, trying to save a child’s life (when it’s so easy to take measure to not get pregnant in the first place) can no way be considered ignoble by rational thinkers.
“uncompromising thinking”
LOL when has anyone on the left ever compromised their way of thinking?
“slaughter can bring about change”
Oh I know, they just hire folks that think as Mao did, that change comes from the end of the barrel of a gun? Oh yeah, Dems started this lil thing called Vietnam, do you recall the slaughter that ensued in the name of ‘change’ on that one?-

So you do not believe in a womens choice, unless rape is involved? Why is that so-called innocent child different if the women was raped, it still has the potential to be a human. You do not make sense, that is control no matter how you try to spin it. Cannot establish a national religion, that is seperation of church and state. Read and comprehend. Double talk and spin is all you offered.

I think that Rush figured that if the media is going to go down the road they did with him that it's open season now.

The article, which is only a few sentences long, discredits itself. From the Article:

Rush Limbaugh really outdid himself yesterday, comparing New York Times environmental reporter Andy Revkin to a terrorist and urging him to commit suicide.
And then, one sentence later, you find out:
Well, that’s not entirely fair. Actually, Limbaugh compared all “militant environmentalists” to “the jihad guys,” who, in Limbaugh’s telling, “convince these families to strap explosives on who? Not them. On their kids. Grab your 3-year-old, grab your 4-year-old and we’re gonna strap explosives on. ... Environmentalist wackos are the same way.”-

US radio host Rush Limbaugh's main reason for existence is to go too far — and then drag mainstream conservative discourse out there with him.
But even by Limbaugh's standards — and remember this is a man who has over the years referred to Greenpeace and Sierra Club as "econazis" and "environmentalist wackos" — he seems to have gone the extra mile in calling the New York Times environmental reporter, Andy Revkin, a jihadi and a terrorist and telling him to kill himself.
