In a phone call to The Associated Press on Wednesday, Sharpton said the matter should be handled delicately, citing "psychological issues" with Williams.
"This isn't cut and dried either way," he said. "Right is right, but I have no idea if tomorrow her story will change back."
True, however this new statement does raises the question of doubt.
If there’s any doubt about their guilt in a crime they must go free.
This not only raises doubt about their guilt in a crime this raises doubt if there was a crime. -

“A lie detector test would help.”
Not really, a “lie detector” wont work if the person being tested “actually believes” what their saying is true.
Extreme Example:
If a person is “nuts” and “actually believes” little green men from the planet Duppo planted the voices in their head, a “lie detector” will show their telling the truth.
A “lie detector” will only help tell you what someone believes, not the truth.
