Gore deserves every bit of abuse we can give him. Nuff said. His BS is the excuses now used for cap'n'trade, restrictions on coal mining and drilling for oil, and giving a huge boost to "justify" the force of collectivism.

Stop the regulations and you stop the permissions of capitalists and their lobbyists to gain any edge, and you send all the lobbyists to the back of the foodline.

You start with a premise that is incorrect. ie, "there is no argument".......man is creating global warming, healthcare is a right, capitalism is bad.

I hope the lawsuit goes through because I don't think the deniers or conspiracy theorist have a leg to stand on. They can't even arrive at a consensus as to what their position is. Some say the earth isn't getting warmer while others say it is,but its a natural phenomenon. The most laughable part of their theory is that somehow this theory is a product of Al Gore. The first mention of greenhouse theory goes back to 1824 and is credited to a French scientist. The theory has been around a lot longer than Al Gore so to suggest this is his baby just reveals how ignorant these loons are. There have been plenty of other proponents of the theory since its inception and with more accurate records being kept on weather and better mathematical analysis of weather systems, the correlations are becoming more apparent. So bring it on. Let the loons have their day. It won't make any difference, of course, because even if they lose, and they will, they will simply chalk it up to the conspiracy theory. When you think Obama is a Muslim, Hitler, you're deep in wacky territory anyway.

The straw man approach, assigning those who rely on scientific fact and real-world data, with those who think Obama is Hitler just undermines any credibility you claim to have.
Reply
The issue is whether carbon dioxide causes global warming. Science has demonstrated that the correlation is real (on a long-term level) but temperature changes precede carbon dioxide levels. Someone back in 1824 who made a hypothesis about the link should be credited with keen observation. But someone today, in light of ice core samples and other proxy data, who makes the claim that carbon dioxide causes global warming, isn't expressing scientific fact.
The present doomsday claim about global warming goes back to England and Margaret Thatcher who paid scientists to present claims that burning coal was endangering the planet and nuclear powered electricity was needed (she wanted to end the coal miners strike).
It began and still is a political movement, backed by a variety of groups: ecologists (greens) who think anything manmade is inherently bad for mother Earth, political opportunists who are looking to get rich and statists who see this as an opportunity to get control of the economies and people, and a lot of well-meaning but misinformed people who just want to do good.

Would you consider that average temperatures recorded this year as "facts"? Because they point towards a cooling trend, not a warming trend.
I don't think you understand how to interpret the facts.

Most of these scientist r independent,meaning they don't have endorsements or their research published by the 'elitist club",because they r not members.The politicization and control of science by a certain group or groups is no different than than the religious fundamentalism of the dark ages,science is being lost and nothing is being learned.I applaud these men and women for standing up against a cabal of corruption at the risk of further losing grants,becaus of backlash from science frauds such as IPPC,NASA,Academies of Sciences and others.

True;

but it is a hoax involving almost all major scientific institutions on the planet;
requiring the cooperation of hundreds of thousands of climate scientists,
geologists, meteorologists, biologists, oceanologists, and physicists.
It is a hoax requiring that school labs across the world have been rigged
with 'altered' carbon dioxide samples, so that they collect heat
in bottles when light is passed through.
Or, Climate Change could be real;
merely denied by a crowd of
know-nothings financed by
the Liberty Eagle Family Petroleum Heritage Foundation.
But be real; what are the odds for that ?

So this whole climate change thing is just another part of the vast conspiracy to redistribute the wealth and destroy America? Nearly every study that shows negative effects of climate change and CO2 is just faulty logic or fraud and every scientist that believes it is either in on it or being duped. Wow! Thank god you conservative were able to uncover this! This is again more proof that the only people with the power and motive to pull off this vast conspiracy must be the chinese! And they might have gotten away with it if it wasn't for you meddling cons!

Al gore was out of a job.
He had never done anything but grow tobacco and act as a senator.
He got financing for a carbon exchange company.
He put together a movie to scare people.
The UN climate group loved meeting in places with lots of golf courses. The more members and the more meetings the better.

We changed the night sky.

The plains and prairies of the midwest

We changed the land.
The oceans have islands of our floating trash,

We changed the oceans.
The animals that threatened us are gone, or caged

Plants grow now where and how we wish;

We changed the plants and animals.

because he has been active in environmental issues since his college days.
Acording to the New York Times, " his interest in environmentalism began when he was a teenager:"
"As I was entering high school, my mother was reading Silent Spring and the dinner table conversation was about pesticides and the environment [...] The year I graduated from college the momentum was building for Earth Day. After Vietnam, as I was entering divinity school, the Club of Rome report came out and the limits to growth was a main issue."

Whether or not one likes Al Gore should have zip to do with reasoning an opinion on climate change. The vast majority of earth science professionals say man IS having an effect.
I'm going to go with them, they collected the data. Science has no political point of view. -

May 5, 2009 --
Perched on the soaring Karakoram mountains in the Western Himalayas, a group of some 230 glaciers are bucking the global warming trend. They're growing.
Surging glaciers are common and do not necessarily mean a glacier is growing in overall size. But the fact that dozens of them have all surged in the same region hints that larger climate forces are at work.
"It looks like it's the Westerlies," Shroder said, referring to strong jets of wind that pour from west to east in a belt around the planet. Though he can't say for certain, the winds appear to be carrying more moisture from the warming Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea eastward.
If that's true, some of the moisture would fall into the region around the Caspian Sea. But as the winds rise into Karakoram's frigid heights, any remaining water would come down as snow, feeding the glaciers.
"We will see regional patterns like this developing as climate change alters precipitation," said Andrew Fountain of Portland State University in Oregon.
Fountain said that similar trends were evident in some Scandinavian glaciers during the 1990s, which benefited from increased storminess and precipitation coming off the North Atlantic Ocean. Researchers have also found that glaciers on California's Mt. Shasta have been growing for decades. And glacier recession has been blunted in the mountains of Oregon and Washington state because of increased moisture from the warming Pacific Ocean.
In the Karakorams, the uptick in glacier mass has come with a welcomed perk. The mighty Indus River, which flows out of China and nourishes northern India and much of Pakistan has experienced an increase in discharge.-

A couple years back you touted the one bit of sheet ice that was enlarging in Antarctica as proof there was no man made climate change...remember what happened to that?
Reply
It fell off and melted.
All models show some areas actually getting cooler, but the overall global average rising.
With Arctic ice at an all time low, you find one single glacier growing and see that as an excuse to deny what climatologists are saying???
