Reid Goes for Broke With Public Option Bill »

Posted By Progressive 2 months, 2 weeks ago in Political News

Harry Reid is preparing to bring a health reform bill that includes a public option to the floor of the Senate, gambling that his 60-member caucus will support the plan if it contains opt-out measures for individual states. The majority leader and other senators met with Barack Obama yesterday to discuss strategy, although the president did not explicitly endorse the approach. Polls show a clear majority supports a public option, and Nancy Pelosi is bringing a bill containing one through the House.

That gives us the best chance of defeating this legislation.

Stick it in there Harry ... don't wait to slip it in quietly later.

Reid's motivation is this: He wants to do as much damage as possible before he's voted out of office next year. Also by hitching himself to the radical agenda of BO he's hoping that will lead to a cushy job in the Obama administration after he loses his senate seat next year. I bet you all will be calling him Czar Harry the first after Nov 2010!

Great, now we are going to have bankrupt health care on top of everything else.
Obama spent more money in the past few months than all presidents from George Washington THROUGH George Bush and that includes all the wars.
He spends all his time flying around instead of staying in Washington doing his job.
His policies are destroying the economy.
He never held a job in his life and doesn't know the first thing about what creates jobs and what causes unemployment.
Had enough or shall I go on?
