Unprecedented: White House Tries to Ban Fox from Press Pool »
Posted By BronxBomber 1 month, 1 week ago in Political NewsWashington DC - The White House stepped up its attack on Fox News, announcing that the network would no longer be able to conduct interviews with officials as a member of the Press Pool. The Pool is a five-member group consisting of ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News and NBC organized by the White House Correspondents Association. The other networks objected. They told the White House that if Fox were banned, none of the other networks would participate. The White House relented.

So the new strategy from the Obama White House is to whine about FOX News. That’s really going to work out well. I think the number one complaint I hear from people these days is all the unfair, probing coverage Obama gets from all the major news organizations. Everyone is just so mean to him! Someone should give him another Nobel Peace Prize to wipe his tears with.

Wait a minute ... all throughout the Bush administration ... y'all kept saying ... "It don't matter what his poll numbers are ... he sticks to his beliefs ... in SPITE of the poll numbers."
Reply
Remember when Republicans said that?
But of course ... we all know that Bush was a poll watcher ... just like Cheney.
And also of course .. .. when confronted by the fact that 2/3 of Americans said that the Iraq war was the wrong decision ... Cheney said .... "So?"
LOL ... how easy is it to forget how utterly decrepit the administration was that Obama replaced.
I for one and willing to cut him some slack ... because he's an improvement on any Modern Republican ... by a factor of about 2,000.
After all ... the Modern Republican doesn't stand for ANYTHING ... other than whining ... and objecting.

What a bunch of crock. Bush and Cheney waged an unrelenting battery of words against the NY Times, NBC, and MSNBC. The last couple of years, Bush quietly banned any interviews of WH staffers by reporters from all these organizations.
Reply
Former Bush Press Secretary Dana Perino openly admitted this in an interview with Fox host Brian Kilmeade.
This impressive incident illustrates how much more politically savvy and politically cynical the Republican administration was. They simply did everything quietly and thru subterfuge. That way they got everything they wanted but avoided criticisms.
Secrecy was also how they covered up the gathering of the completely false evidence of WMD's, the electronic spying on citizens, the firing of the prosecutors, the undesirable aspects of the Patriot Act, the act of vengeance against Valerie Plame and her husband.
I know that all the neocons will neg my post. But I dare any one of them to prove that any WMD's were found in Iraq. ANY at all! And I dare them to say that Bush did not wage a systematic (but quiet) campaign against the NY Times, NBC and MSNBC.-

It is not possible in principle to PROVE that something DID NOT exist. This is the reason I do not demand YOU to prove that there were no WMD's in Iraq, either found or hidden. I, however, DO expect you to PROVE that Bush DID wage a systematic campaign against the NY Times, NBC and MSNBC. Good luck! -

Last night Maddow (MSNBC opinion program)said FOX differs from REAL news because at least ONE of their programs helps to promote and organize protesters of the Obama agenda. Does Rachel forget that community organizing is about the only job the Pretender in the Oval Office held, except for a short stint of voting "present" in our Illinois Congress? Maddow needs to be more circumspect when attempting to malign FOX. She could be the next one getting the strong-arming thug treatment from the WH if she continues to put down community activism.

I have some news for you and your friends, jrannis. EVERYONE has the right to say what he/she/them is willing to say. Even news agencies.

It's YOUR right to decide what you like and what you don't like. In addition, you have the right to argue with anything anyone said or even switch the channel and watch CNN instead of Fox.
You DO NOT have a right to tell others what they should say and what they should not.

And Thomas was relegated to the VERY BACK of the press room in order to STIFLE her and her REAL questions. All Bush wanted was the fluff questions, and he could barely answer those.

Only in ur leftist dreams jcoffe, Fox is the only one that comes close to objective criticism. Ur the one who's brainwashed into a secular, socialist, one world, one thought agenda that began in the late 1800's and was adopted by lib-progressives in the '20's and '30's, who became the greatest cheerleaders for Hitler and Mussolini, proclaiming that the Nazis were beating them at their own game. Did u know that the ideas for a supreme white master race, genocide, ethnic cleansing and evolution of the human race thru eugenics(now embrionics) were originally ideas of American progressives, born from Social Darwinism of the 19th century? No, I doubt it.

as to attack college journalisim professors when I suggest that they audit fox news network for adherence to journalistic
standards that have evolved over the 200 year history of our country and are protected becuase they gaurd our freedom. Like all good things though news networks and newspapers can misuse the trust that we the people protect in the constitution
and drag it through the dirt, letting the republican party ,From
ElRushbo's having callers assign themselves ganster monkiers to Hannitys freedom concerts Fox is a disgrace to real defenders of freedom.
