We HAVE uncontrolled messages on the internet right now and it seems to work quite well, thank you.

Why does our gov't want to wade in and muck it up?

On my telephone bill, my telephone service is about $30 per month basic fee. There are about 7 or 8 federal fees, taxes and excise taxes that bring the total cost to over $42. The more long distance calls I make, the more I pay in federal taxes.

My cable phone bill is about $35 per month. Long distance calls are included. There are no additional taxes or fees.

Why would I want to add another $10 -12 in excise fees to my VOIP, and I'm sure that once the fed steps in and starts "regulating" the internet to "insure fair access" to all, not only will it be harder for the small fry to get a domain, but there will be plenty of taxes to go along with it, as well.

But, then again, maybe I'm just paranoid. I know the government REALLY just wants what's best for me.

Please just admit that you really have no idea what this is all about.
