Simple answer, gentle reader, it was a great to delegitimize the despised Jooz. And the hypocritical West bought it all with nary a sound in protest.

I absolutely agree with you! They've had an identity for a VERY long time, as Arabs totally indistinguishable from the Syrians, Lebanese and Jordanians who themselves did not have those those first two identities until 1920 when France created Greater Syria and divided it into Syria and Lebanon.

France finally declared Lebanon independent in 1941 and removed its troops in 1946, at the same time the French removed its troops from Syria and it too became an independent country. Jordan, or Transjordan as it was first called - Cisjordan (the West Bank) was captured by them in 1948 and kept after the 1949 armistice with Israel.
By the way... the map you so kindly supplied us, in your link, shows Palestine with the areas of each of the 12 Jewish tribes. Thank you for proving my point!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you I'm VERY, VERY, VERY grateful for that!
As for the water problem, aside from the drought in the area over the last decade, the fact remains that the amount of water available to each Palestinian has almost tripled while the amount of water available to dem Jooz in the Zionist Entity has seriously declined! According to the Oslo accords, the PA was supposed to start sewage treatment plants and many billions were contributed specifically for that purpose by Western nations. It would provide jobs and water. To this day the plants are not even on the drawing boards and the money is unaccounted for. -
