James Inhofe, the most prominent climate change denier in the United States Senate, has concocted a new and innovative strategy to thwart the Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act. To wit, he and his Republican colleagues on the Environment and Public Works Committee have worked up a plan to simply not show up for next week’s markup:

    Middle man is on a roll. Pushes a story about Republicans not wanting to have the cap and trade bill passed. The treasury forecast is $1,700 per family of 4 as the cost to the taxpayers. It will cripple our small businesses at a time when they are struggling to survive.

    Then there is the simple fact that the average temperature peaked in 1998 and has been level or lower. They try to say that means nothing just a short interval. Well in that light it is a short interval since these same people were ranting about the new ice age.

    Another fact is the theory that there are such things as green house gases has been proven false. But why let science bother you when the great AL Gore has spoken. Does not matter that his movie has been found to have several false claims in a court of law. Lets ignore that.
