I agree that Obama has done a job on both issues; however no one is suggesting that dying cancer patients should be sent to prison. That's a red herring defense. My point was simply that he is not enforcing one law, but he is pushing another that is more politically expedient. He wants to have it both ways, and he just can't. He wants to back gays and lesbians to secure votes, and yet he also wants to secure the backing of the religious whackos that are anti-gay.

I totally agree except for the fact that cancer patients were already going to prison for using their legal medicine,he just put a stop to it.Of course he could have stopped it 9 months ago with a simple stroke of the pen just as he could stop good men and women from losing their careers in the military.You were the one who mentioned marijuana users that have absolutely nothing to do with this issue.Consider the fact that the Reagan administration took a poll of gays regarding their marijuana use and 90% said they used marijuana,in a sick attempt to link AIDS to marijuana use, and you might say users and gays are one in the same.
