This was no rant. This was a systematic description of our political system.

The sarcasm used against progressives should not go un-noticed, because the only thing more dangerous than a selfish and cold-hearted conservative is indeed a lazy liberal.
The author didn't carry us to the full truth, and only touched on it..
Liberals mean well, but with concepts like urban renewal and affirmative action
the question begs itself: When can we declare success? How can we measure it and stop it from its rampant NEVERENDING annoyance and divisiveness..
No plan should begin without an exit plan, and as well-meaning as liberals are, when they come up with a policy that sees no end they hurt us more than help us..
It's easy for conservatives..They just say, "let the mentally ill and oppressed solve their own problems"...So, which is worse..no heart or no brains?? depending on the issue, it's a tough
decision.
I tend to side with the liberals with the hearts because maybe I can get them to learn form their mistakes. I know I can't make conservatives grow a heart.-

The CONs in Colorado are indeed HEARTLESS, either religious fanatics who hate life and pray for the end of the world, or White Supremacists who hate more than half their fellow Americans.

cored, you are out of touch with the extremist Right wing that has taken over the republican Party.-

Thank you for confirming yet another state that is plagued with wrong minded

quasi-conservative Republicans..They are Republicans because they can do their selfish works right amongst the party regulars..Just like many pro-segregation Dems did in the south...
It takes an open mind to spot them because they're real good at blending in and hammering the issues that they really care about..
HEARTLESS.
If you haven't been involved with hard core party politics (I mean fundraising, platform developing, canvassing, etc) then it can easily be overlooked. -

Well, having been an active Republican during the Reagan years, I can tell you that none

of the active Republicans were of the conscientious nature.
I worked with these people..I know from first hand experience...That;'s all I can go by.
The Mass. Republicans were very selfish and only cared about how much they had to pay in taxes..That's why I left them...
I can't change the fact that most Republicans (but not necessarily most conservatives) are selfish and heartless..
Believe me.>I was on Reagan's Steering Committee and knew Andy Card and Andrew Natsios when they were just state reps..
I was devastated by the heartlessness of the core of that party.
But then again, a very conservative Democrat named Ed King beat Dukakis in the primaries and got elected..I liked him..But he wasn't re-elected since the core Dems opposed him and, of course, the Republicans put up a good candidate.
I supported Bill Weld later, and he was a Republican, but not liked by his party..
I tend to dislike party insiders (either side)
